Any way to negotiate "bonuses" when buying direct?

Looking to potentially purchase Riviera direct. The majority of my points are resales and 25 points are "old school membership" direct giving me the blue card. I'm looking to buy before the Feb price increase , and I've heard if you go in person they may give you a few "bonuses" for buying direct like fast passes, extra points this year, etc. What have folks negotiated in the past? Am I able to have the same options if I buy through my sales guy through email?

I'm hoping for options like waiving this years dues, loading 2021 points (since my UY will be Sept) now so I can bank them to 2023, etc.

Any advice would be helpful and appreciated!

Right now, they are giving people on site a picture. I haven’t heard of any extras. FPs don’t exist so those are not happening.

With a September UY, you will get 2021 points because you are in your 2021 UY and they have to sell you current UY points.

MFs are based on calendar year, not UY, so you will only owe 2022 MFs from The day you purchase for the rest of the year. So, about 11 months if you buy right before Feb 3rd increase

They will let you use a CC to purchase and spread out the payments, reports up to 90 days..but some have said they have been recently told only 30 days.

It’s all the same. They don’t negotiate and give extras. Everything I mentioned is something everyone can get.

I spoke with a DVC rep over the phone recently. My understanding is that there are 2 promotions currently. 1. A decrease in the cost per point, depending on the total points on the contact. 2. Double points for the first year. They also said that if you don’t want those extra points, they will “buy them back” at $10 per point. I.e. A 150 point contract would give you $1500, given as a check a few months down the road. Those were the only incentives offered over the phone. Can’t speak to in person offerings.

Just so you know, those double points are not really double points.

You get them when they sell you a UY that is closer to the end which makes it appear you are.

For example, if they sell you a February UY right now, they would say we are giving you double points. You will get both 2021 points and the next set February 1st.

However, you get them because we are still in the February 2021 UY. If you buy after Feb 1st, it’s only 2022 points.

So, that is not an incentive as they can’t legally sell you a contract that doesn’t come with current UY points.

Granted, it can still be beneficial and great, but you get them based on timing the purchase well, that’s it.

But no dues on 21's points because they're prorated. So, that's a bonus!

True.
I believe the use year they were selling was August.

Gotten books of fast passes but I was there onsite to purchase. They justified it by saying it took away from my time in the parks

Yes they did this in the past, but no more fast pass so no more fast passes to give out. They used to give you ice cream too and snacks and drinks while you waited for the tour.

Actually, you sometimes will get nice little gifts.

On our last trip, we struck up a conversation with a CM at one of the kiosks who turned out to have grown up in an area of our home city not far from DH's office.

He noticed our 25th anniversary buttons and said he'd like to email us a gift. Took down DH's email and sent us a $50 restaurant giftcard good at any Disney-owned one.

We thought that was soooo nice because we were just chatting and hadn't asked about adding on or anything DVC-related but for saying how much we love DVC.

So, ya never know....

We just did direct purchase a few months ago. We were given 2021 points (Dec use year) those are good until Nov. 2022 and we got a backpack for each of us. (my two adult DD are on the contract so total of 3 households sharing points)

We bought a small direct add on contract in Dec while at WDW.
We got a Riviera print and stickers for our DD1.
We asked for the 30 day payoff and closing delayed until after.
Our UY is Oct, so we did get 2021 (current) points. Points showed up quickly in our account, even though we have only turned the "paper work" back into the lawyer.

I think it varies by the guide. Did a phone sales pitch last year with mine just to catch up on current incentives and options, she sent me a $25 gift card for the time. I didn’t ask she just offered it as a thank you.

We bought Riviera pre-opening in 2019, onsite - got a ton of FPs - some glitch with the FP on MDE/magic bands meant we got something like 3/day/person for every day on our trip? We did have a hiccup with paperwork and having to re-sign docs the next day which took some time away, at which point we also got the special FPs that were good for 7DMT. We also did the tour on the day we changed resorts, so we got picked up at the Swan and dropped off at VGF, hurrah, and had ice cream and POG juice for lunch. That was a very expensive lunch.

*also: you can pick your UY, not just the one they happen to be selling. We already had 2 UY (by choice) and they wanted to sell December UY then. First we asked for Feb, then when we were told Feb contracts didn't get points until 2020, we got August (which had 2019 points). A few days later we booked our NYE stay from our bed at VGF.
