Any way to get discounts at the Swan?

Some friends and I are doing a one night trip for the F&WF. We are planning on staying at the Swan, but the only discount I have found is through AAA. I was wondering if they have pins or anything like the other Disney hotels. We did the same trip last year and paid almost $100 less!

Thanks!

you can go directly to swan/dolphin.com and will start getting offers:surfweb::surfweb:

Swan and Dolphin often run public discounts right on their own website (www.swananddolphin.com). I know the rack rates just dropped for my dates (10/20-10/24). There is also a Special Offers page.

There is also a nice discount on Travelocity for my dates. Though compare it to rack rate. It says 40% but the rack rates they're listing are higher than the rack rates actually on the S/D site.

As the PP said, Starwood is also an option. I think it's a 35% discount; it's listed on the Special Offers page. But one thing I noticed is that you can only use it if you have no more than 2 adults in a room. We have three so we couldn't use that rate at all, not even with adding in the extra adult fee.

The Dolphin is still my backup plan while I wait for a GP RO discount on YC. I actually just got online a few minutes ago and was able to update my previous reservation to the new lower, listed rates -- saved $200. :thumbsup2

I got an email a couple of days ago From Travelocity quoting $159 per night. Sorry, can't remember if it was Swan or dolphin. You could punch in your dates and see if they still have decent rates left.

I think Dolphin is starting at $149 and Swan at $150 on Travelocity.

Is it hard/impossible to cancel if you book a room thru Travelocity?

thanks for the info

Thanks. My friend is signed up with Starwood and I just checked Travleocity, but the AAA rate is still a little better. We're going one night - Saturday, November 5. Dolphin wants $249, Swan $279. I got a rate of $263 with AAA.

Last year we went a month earlier- Saturday, October 2 and only paid $169 for the Dolphin!

Ahhh - thank you!! I just looked at the other thread asking for discounts and someone said to check the allears discount. I called to check and got much better rates. $165 Dolphin, $185 Swan. $225 for a Swan resort view with balcony - still less than the original price for a standard room.

The discounted rates on Travelocity are pay-in-full, non-refundable. I book those all the time but only when i'm sure. You can get refundable rates, but most of the good deals are not.

Right now for my dates the Travelocity Dolphin rate is a total of $82 less than the rack rate from S/D. So I booked rack because i'm still waiting for a GP RO discount. If that doesn't materialize by Monday, i'll cancel the rack booking and book the Travelocity. But only when i'm sure.

The Swan and Dolphin are having some kind of special package for F&W and there were some discounts attached to it, but I don't know the details.

We booked the Dolphin for 4 nights in October using the code "allears" and we are paying $165 although with that code rooms start at $139. That code is good for the Swan also.

HOT!

Just saw this on the Starwood site. Book trhough Friday for stays during the next 6 weeks. Could be a real bargain. Saw the Dolphin for as low as $139!

Thanks for the tip! We have 3 adults so our rate is higher than $139 but the rate is now under $1000 for our trip. That's fabulous.

A couple weeks ago we decided to increase our budget to get YC Water View if a GP RO discount came out (because that's really the only available at the resorts we want). That price has stayed the same (if it comes) but the Dolphin price is now almost $400 cheaper than that. I'm going to call and check the ALLEARS rate tomorrow, but I think it's very likely we'll punt on the YC and book the Dolphin.

Note: This Starpick rate is a non-refundable, pay in full rate.
