Any way to get 12 points?

Kind of a complicated situation. Oct UY at Poly, no ‘25 points left, no ‘26 points left. Already received my 1 transfer for the year and bought OTU. Am I out of luck?

I just got 64 points via transfer (Aug ‘26 UY). This was because I was eyeing up 2 studios at Poly in October. My idea was connecting studios for my wife and kids and then my in-laws.

I had 150 points in my Oct 2027 UY I knew I could borrow, plus the 24 OTU points I could buy. So I found someone from the rental/transfer forum and got 64 points, meaning I have a total of 238 for use in October ‘26 (providing I fully borrow my Oct ‘27 UY). The total for 5-nights that I needed was 116/room, so I used 232 and booked the 2 studios (leaving 6 points in my Oct ‘27 UY)

I’m wondering if a 2-bedroom at BLT would better meet our needs, but preferred view is all that’s left and it’s 250 points for the dates we want, and I’m 12 points short. And the transfer rules mean I can only receive one transfer per UY? Is that right? And I already bought OTU for my Oct ‘26 UY… and you can’t bank or borrow those so I can’t buy OTU for ‘25 and move them around? Feeling regret I didn’t buy more points via transfer 😥

Outside of buying a new contract, what are my options? Pay to have another member book me the room and then try to sell my 238 at a comparable price per point?

Can you book rooms with your points and then have a member rent a room for the last night and then ask MS to link the reservations as a continuous stay?

Only other idea would be to book the first or last night with cash. See if the room is available on the WDW website and/or call MS to book directly through them.

I assume you mean you want enough points to do an Oct 2026 reservation. You have received via transfer Aug 2026 points. That transfer counts as one in your 2026 use year. You can still get more transfered points to use for the reservation:

(a) You could have someone with a Dec use year transfer to you points from that member's Dec 2025 use year and that transfer would count as one in your 2025 use year, and then use those points for the Oct 2026 reservations. You could also get a transfer from someone's Oct 2025 use year points and then bank them to use for the Oct 2026 reservations.

(b) You could get a transfer from a Feb to Oct 2027 use year, which would count as your 2027 use year transfer, and then borrow those points for the Oct 2026 reservation.

Another alternative would be to get 5 nights in 2-bedroom SV at AKL. I believe that is 235 points in Oct. It has the same number of bathrooms as BLT 2-bedroom.

If you can't bank, borrow, or transfer, you have no options. You can buy more points from your guide, or book a stay that takes fewer points. As others have said you can book one night for cash (or rent it from another member) and have member services mark it as a continuing stay. That's about it.

I agree with @drusba Since you are still in your 2025 UY, you can get Dec 2025 UY points transferred to your account as those would still be valid for your trip and you haven’t done the 2025 UY transfer.

That is the only option, other than trying to book on cash, or having someone rent you the first or last night and then connect with a continuous reservation.

It would leave you some 2026 points to bank.

Thank you!!!! This sounds like an amazing idea. I'll hunt for some 2025 points to purchase.

Before I read this advice from drusba and Sandisw, here is what I had settled on:

I called MS this morning and explained the situation. Assuming I was not going to stumble across more points, the rep suggested we stick with the 2 studios at Poly. To increase the chances of the rooms being connecting, she suggested I do a Sun-Fri booking rather than a Tues-Sun (what I had booked). This is because there's wayyy more check-outs on a Sunday than a Tuesday, which is sound logic I feel. So I agreed.

However, there was only availability for ONE studio on that particular Sunday night, but not two. So, what we did was:
- Booked one studio Sun-Friday fully as a 5-night stay
- Booked the second studio Monday-Friday as a 4-night stay, with a 1-night waitlist put in for that Sunday night
- Booked a 1-night cash stay for the same room type on the Sunday

Then, the rep put it in the notes/requests to link the 1-night cash and the 4-night point stay so that I could stay in the same room. And then put in the request to have the two rooms (the 5-night stay and the 1-night/4-night stay) be connecting. Messy in terms of requests/notes, but it's done.

I'm overall OK with this arrangement, but the cash price of that 1-night is $1,050 after tax. And if I could just buy points at $20pp, I could do a lot more with an extra 50 points. So now that you've opened my eyes to finding some 2025 UY points via transfer, I could likely revisit getting a 2BR at BLT for those dates. Unfortunately, it doesn't help the situation of that particular Sunday availability at Poly, but it gives me more options. Worse case scenario, if I were to buy Dec '25 UY points and not use them, I could bank them and have until the end of Nov '27 to use them, which would allow me to combine them with my future Oct '27 UY Poly points if I wanted to do an October '27 stay as well.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I'll see what I can find via transfer!

Did you check the cash rate on the Disney side to see if the discount is better?

I did, unfortunately for a 1-night stay no discounts applied. I even have a bounceback offer available to me as I just returned from a Poly trip.

To bad. The villas are not showing up for many using bounce back offers, even when there is still availability, especially for fall dates.

I actually complained about this in a bounceback offer thread somewhere else on this site haha. I was browsing for fun and all I could find at a Deluxe was SSR, OKW, and Kidani. And it needed to be a 5-night minimum stay most of the time.
