Any way of avoiding the parking charge ?

We will be arriving in August after a week in the Loire Valley with expired Dream AP's (April 2011) and Shareholders card and intend to buy 5 new Dream AP's (we are staying at the Marriott)

Is there a way to avoid the extortionate €15 parking charge ?

A nice CM might let us in but unlikely.

Has anyone has this amount refunded ?

When it was €8 it didn't seem to bad but €15 is ridiculous.

Any car parks with height restriction will not be possible as when we arrive our 4x4 will have a roofbox and a bike on top + 4 on the back !

We could possibly go to the Marriott first but check in is not until 4pm and I expected to be at DLP by lunchtime so not sure whether we would be able to leave the bikes etc anywhere there.

Although your accomodation may not be ready at the Marriott I would have thought you could check in and leave your luggage there.
Then head in the shuttle to the park in order to get your APs

I've not heard of anybody getting the amount refunded but I do know of someone who got lucky and didn't have to pay it.
They showed the CM their AP email order confirmation and he let them through

We tried it the first time and got refused so we went to the the Village parking, got the passes and went back through the main parking, so only paid I think 4€ but that's not going to be possible for you

As Cyrano says can you not leave everything at the Marriott ? Maybe phone them first and get confirmation before going over there and them saying no it's too early

Or just had a thought - 1 person could go and get there pass renewed at Donalds desk so before going into the parks while the others wait with the 4*4 near the Village parking, there's a sort of "layby" and if needs be go round the loop a couple of times
Then you could go into the main parking with the one pass and go and renew the other passes after

There are 5 of us so we need to buy together to get the family discount

Using the Marriott shuttle is €2 per person each way so that is more than the car park charge
