We have ADRs for Chef's de France on 5/27. Myself and my two DDs are vegetarians. Are there any vegetarians out there who have been to Chef's recently? :confused3 I need some input. How was your experience? Were you limited to the listed menu items, or did they prepare something special for you?

I have been there twice in the last yr and not a big fan of their vegetarian selection. They did have salads and some type of pasta with cheese(I don't eat very much cheese) They did have a fish and rice dish. I asked them if they could get me some rice seperate and they went in back and got me a plate that didn't have fish with it. Also my DD was able to get soy milk and soy ice cream just buy asking. She's allerigic to dairy. We only go because my DD's love the characters and the monarail going through the place.
If you have any other ?'s about vegetarian CS or table service let me know.

Are you referring to Chef's de France or Chef Mickey's? I was asking about Chef's de France...... But thanks for your kind offer of advice! I always love getting opinions from other veggies. What is your favorite Epcot restaurant for vegetarian selections?

I think this thread is supposed to be on the other main Restaurants board, instead of this Dining Reviews board, but I'm such a newbie that I don't know how to move it!?!?:confused3

If you are lacto/ovo, their macaroni & cheese is out of this world!!! It's all creamy and wonderful and not the traditional electric orange CS-type dish (not that there's anything wrong with that, in the right circumstance).

They have another vegetarian entree, which I've also had, that is similar to a vegetable lasagna. It has ultra thin sheets of squash and zucchini, as well as other vegetables, in between very thin sheets of pasta. It has a red sauce, and I cannot recall if there was cheese or not. Either way, it was also very nice--a very delicate, balanced flavor.

Either of those entrees make quite a nice meal. Obviously desserts shouldn't be an issue, unless you're vegan, and I know there are several appetizers that would be suitable--fresh greens, French cheeses, and tasty flatbreads.

I actually think it's one of the better veggie options at EPCOT. I hope you enjoy!

We went earlier this month and loved it! There are a ton of pics and review in my signature

This is a really cool feature on this site, and I think it's pretty current:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm

Go to the bottom of the page and under "Main Ingredient" select "vegetable", "fruit", "grain" or whatever you want, and it will give you a listing of dishes at most of the restaurants at WDW that feature that ingredient. Not all options are vegetarian, of course, but you'd be amazed what choices come up!

Also, check out the menu for the new Tusker House buffet -- there are a lot of interesting and intriguing veggie items there...

Sorry, thats what happens when I try to post an answer the phone!
Mexico's San Angle Inn has a seperate veggie menue just ask when your seated and it was good. I don't remember what I had cuz it was in 2006 but I do remember it being yummy. We also ate at the Garden grill and I had a squash stuffed pasta dish that was good. I also had the lasangna at CDF in september and it was very taste. Le Cellier had a stuffed pepper dish in 9/07 and it was horrid. They also can't make anything but whats on the menu. I was told because of there small kitchen. We ate in Italy before they changed owners and thought that the pasta was good but there alfrado sauce was not to my liking.Any other park food ? let me know.
BTW-The WCC at WL has a new enchalada dish that looks very YUMMY!

Chef's de France sounds wonderful! I don't really eat cheese, but my daughter will absolutely love that mac-n-cheese - you make it sound yummy. The layered veggie dish sounds great for me. We'll be keeping this ADR!:thumbsup2

We've got an ADR for an early lunch at Tusker House! The veggie options I've heard about from Disers sound awesome. And if it is anything like Boma, I know we will love it!
