Any updates on Journey of Water?

The latest info shows that it is being actively worked on, though there's still a lot of ground clearing going on. It's coming along slowly, but it's still happening for sure.

We were there mid October and saw nothing happening in the area in front of the Land pavilion. Hoping it happens, but saw no construction or anything happening yet.

I wonder how the timing will line up with Galaxy rewind and Epcot's anniversary in 2022. I anticipate both will be done by then.

They haven't been mentioning Journey of Water in press releases, which isn't a great sign, but there is still construction happening per the photos mentioned above. I suspect they're just slow rolling it and it's probably late 2022/early 2023 at this point.

Just watched another VLog, and it looks like they are working on it, but very slowly.
Would be surprised to see it open before fall based on photos. But, once Tron and GoTG open, they may have a lot of people available to finish it up quickly.
Still not sure what to make of it, but hoping for the best.

What is this land actually going to have in it

It's a walkthrough attraction that is part of "World Nature" or what was Future World West. It's a pathway to The Seas with Nemo and The Land. It's not fancy, but it does look nice.

So, with Ratatouille and Space 220 now open and Guardians opening this summer, the only remaining construction walls should be those surrounding the Moana Journey of Water area, correct? If they complete that over the summer, could EPCOT actually get all of the construction walls removed in time for its 40th anniversary?

We're tentatively planning for an early 2023 visit to EPCOT for next year's Festival of the Arts. Fingers crossed that it will no longer be a construction zone by then!

It's possible unless they decide to start back on that Festival Center building. As far as I know right now it's on indefinite hold and I don't think it'll be a priority. I assume they will put some basic landscaping in that area.

There won’t be the months or ride training and testing since it’s a walkthrough park-like area so, once the work is done it should open right away.

Agreed. Even if they have other plans for that area it would be nice to delay them for a short period to have a nice looking area for the anniversary.
