any twitchers out there

Good afternoon all , my uncle is going to Florida for the first time in April and one of the main reason he is going is to bird watch (not disney I know ) any way I wondered if any fellow Disers could tell me where the best places would be .

Just a suggestion (as I'm not a twitcher) but I wondered if the State Parks would be any good - perhaps their web site would be able to help?

I would have thought that Lake louisa State Park would be a good state - up the 27 past Walmart on the way to Clermont.

It is a lovely couple of hours walk (Even if you are not into birds) - costs $5 per car to get in - but that goes into the upkeep of the park etc.

The J. N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island is great for bird watching.
Not that close to Orlando/WDW, but in case your uncle might be able to get to SW Florida it's highly recommended.
