Any truth to the rumors that river country will become DVC?

Hi all!

My husband and I are looking into purchasing dvc in a few years (gotta get those pesky student loans paid off first!!) I was reading up on the coming locations a little bit the other day and thought I saw something about river country becoming a dvc area. Any truth to these rumors?

At this point is still just a rumor.

Several sites are constantly in the rumor mill for upcoming DVC projects including River Country. While no one outside the front office knows for certain what Disney is planning, I'd be surprised if it were to be on the actual list of builds anytime soon or, frankly, later.

My feeling on the River Country rumor is that it was proceeding as fairly solid plan ... But then they got the Poly opportunity, and then Copper Creek (FW)
It seems River Country is now on indefinite hold as the Caribbean Beach now seems more likely.

I think as long as Disney has 30-40% empty hotel room, a DVC conversion will come along. Just like AK, WL, BLT, Poly...
