Any travel agents out there?

Hey there travel agents! I have a few questions for you. When you started in the travel industry, what did you have to do to get started? And, what do you have to do to get in with a company? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

I was laid off from a Travel Agency in October. I was studying to become one, learning on the job. I would be happy to share with you how I got my first test done and started on my certification. PM me and we can talk about it. It was always my dream to be a Travel Agent so at 36 I decided what the heck! I loved working there and hope something will open up soon.

that is an excellent question - I would also love to know - I have traveled extensively and have helped a number of friends plan vacations and their honeymoons and would love to know what is involved and how you got into it!
