We love Trails End and have never had a bad meal there for breakfast or dinner. The food is great especially their fried chicken. It is so easy to get to from WL or MK. I say go at least once and you will be hooked. The resort itself is wonderful with so many things to do there too.

We have ress there in November but I want to make sure, trails end is in the campground not wilderness lodge right. Because I also have ress at whispering cannon cafe which I know is at wl

Yes it is in the Fort Wilderness campground. If you take the boat from MK then you just walk straight up the road from the boat ramp and the restaurant is on the right.

I would love to take the boat over because it's so convenient but I will have my mother with me and she needs the scooter and I know those boats do not accommodate a scooter. So no choice but use the bus. I went there many years ago but for breakfast not supper and the menu looks great.

Breakfast and dinner are buffets; lunch is a regular menu. We went for lunch last month and it was really good. DH had the pan-fried catfish with french fries. I had the chicken & waffles (fried chicken tenders and sweet potato waffles on a warm maple/rosemary syrup). Really, really good. Also really, really huge; we could easily have split either entree, and that is NOT something we normally do.
