Hi,
We have been looking at booking through a Travel agent for 2007 but, as so many people on these boards book everything independently thought we might look into doing this. :scared:

Has anyone any tips on where to find best/cheapest flights, car hire and a villa. We have always stayed in hotels previously and this is our 1st villa holiday...so excited!

We are looking for a 4/5 bed villa (9 of us) with a private pool. Is it better to rent direct from owners or through a agent? What kind of price are we looking at for this?

Any info/recommendations would be much appreciated.

cheers

we booked through travel city direct for 8 of us in a villa (executive) with 8 seater car platinum insurance, holiday insurance, 14 day disney tickets, and flights and its cost £5100 not bad I dont think

Hi Anna,
Thanks for the reply. We have looked at booking through TCD and have been quoted £5091 for 12 seater van(includes insurance) and exec 5 bed villa at Calabay parc. Does the pic of the villa in there brocure match what you actually get. Hope that makes sense the pics look gorgeous and would hate to expect quality like this and then arrive to something a bit shabbier. ( maybe I am worrying too much !!)

The other quote we have had is for £4677 for the same except flying with Monarch from a nearer airport and a 4 bed villa AOA. The villas on their website look smaller than the ones on TCD website.

Since this is our 1st villa hol we wanted something really nice. Hope you don't mind me asking but where have you stayed, what were the villas like and how do you find TCD?
Thanks
Lindax

we have used a villa through tcd before and it was just like the pic, and its very spacious!!lol the 5 bedroom villas are anyhow as thas what we had. and very clean.

we have stayed at highlands reserve (both when they were just building it and after, and cypress somethign cant remember lol as that was a while ago)

I have found tcd good, and have used them alot plus I have two trips booked with them for this year and next. A villa one for this year. our price also includes pool heating as the kids swim after dark alot.

you here good and bad about them, but try them and make your own judgement. I find there customer relations team very good as well both here and in the states,

Our last villa had everything lol, including two bbq's for cooking outside, walk in wardrobes, safes etc, everything you could ask for really

What time of year though? I've looked at Aug '07 on TCD with 2 adults and 3 kids and it's way more expensive than £5100 for a town-house and no tickets...

[edit]Whoops - looks like I may have tried to look at really expensive flights - tried "Main Cabin" and it knocked 2 grand off the price![/edit]

we go 14th september but booked 18 months ago. I found it a really good price,

the tickets are the 14 day unlimited disney ones for 6 adults and one child (as me and dbf are annual pass holders)

With tcd the earlyer you book the cheeper as the prices clime as the plane gets more booked up. Thats why we ahve booked for October 07 already £2200 for two of us at pop century, sunshine first with full size car and plat insrance, which I dont thinks bad.

when are you going?
