I want to take my son and dad to the Marlins vs. Cubs on Easter Sunday (will be visiting my parents in Naples). Anyone familiar with Marlins Park who can suggest where to sit (I'm okay with spending $60 or so per ticket)? Or for MLB tickets, is buying from MLB.com the best option?

Not familiar with their park but I always buy tickets through the team .Here it ends up going through ticketmaster. That's opening weekend so if I would look sooner rather than later. I would stay between 1st and home or 1st and 3rd without being behind home plate but that's my preference. I also like the 1st base side better since more stuff happens there.

If the game is sold out and you want to biyboff the secondary market I would see if the team offers something like this. I think ours allows season ticket holders to resell. There's also seatgeek. I've never used it but a podcast I listen to has them for an advertiser and you can use pucksoup to save I think 20 if you are a first time user. Tickets may cost more of less.

I just looked on Ticketmaster and I do not see this game listed with the others. It may be sold out on Ticketmaster? Looks like they are still available on other sites.

I would not buy in the 300 level or outfield sections unless it was the only seats left. I would pay extra for a lower level and better seat.

I looked at and found home plate box seats for just under $100. They seem like good seats.

If only hockey tickets were in the same price range.

THanks to both of you for the advice! I bought seats in Section 6 (1st base side) from mlb.com. $250 for three tickets, all fees, and parking.

Have fun at the game! I'm hoping my work got season tix again so I can go to some games without having to pay :) Also lets me go to more games.

For anyone else looking for tickets for a MLB game after you check the teams site if you find there are a lot of tickets available make sure to check out StubHub. StubHub is a fan re-seller site and a partner of MLB. Last year we were going to Niagara Falls and Toronto and while we were in Toronto the Red Sox were playing the Jays. We were able to get 3 seats for a total of $90 inc fees on StubHub that would have cost about $160 total inc fees on the Jay's website for one game and got 2 seats for a total of $30 including fees for a second game that would have cost just over $100. The seats were in the 3rd row for both games a couple sections beyond 3rd base.

I have also seen it got the other way for Red Sox seats at Fenway where $30 seats are $90 on StubHub but you can luck out when there are a lot of seats left for a game and save lot's of money.

I think you got a great deal! My cousin is in my town for a meeting and one of his coworkers wants to go to the Colorado Rockies game on opening day (home opener). My cousin asked me to look for tickets and even the worst tickets are starting at $103 before any fees or parking. I have checked all the normal sites like stubhub, flashtickets, ticket galaxy, vivid tickets...There is nothing less. So you getting 3 tix for $250, including parking, is an all out steal!
