any tips for the water down there???? im a big water drinker and idk what i would do w/out it :)

Most people either buys cases of their favorite brand and take with them / buy locally or take those water bottles with a filter attached.:thumbsup2

We drink a TON of water. We have it shipped to us at the resort from Staples. I think we did 4 cases last year for 10 days.

As pp stated, getting it shipped from a store to your resort is a great convenience... when you arrive at the hotel its there waiting for you...
Also they have those portable brita water filters that work great. I use them all the time and LOVE them!

I've never been able to find the portable filters where I live and being used to very good well water, I can't drink alot of water at WDW without cringing. So I take along the single drink mixes like Crystal Light or the off-brand, whichever is on-sale and when I refill my bottle at the water fountain (or bubbler as some people call them :lmao: ) I flavor it, which I wouldn't normally do at home. But it's okay for the time we are down there and then I drink more water which I really need down there. If you have a rental car, there are grocery stores on the way from the airport and you can pick up water pretty cheap. You can also ask for free ice water from any of the vendors/counter service places. (This might have been mentioned by a PP, I can't remember). Hope this helps.

Are you allowed to bring water bottles into WDW? I have a little collapsable soft sided cooler that we got on the Disney cruise, it fits about 4-6 water bottles, can I bring that in?

As long as you aren't rolling a cooler into the parks, I think you'll be fine. It should be a cooler that you can sling over your shoulder. I have a great tote bag that I purchased at the gift shop in our local AAA. I love it because it has an extra thick, padded strap that I wear diagonally across my body. We always bring our own bottled water into the parks; I like to partially freeze my bottle and then I wrap it in a clean washcloth from my room and it stays cold all day long. We also always label each person's bottle with their name. I'm not a big fan of diet soda and the drinks are outrageous in the parks anyways. GU

Thanks for the info. My family are BIG water drinkers, so I really wanted to bring my own. I just joined AAA, I am going to have to stop down there and check out the gift shop!!

AAA has a gift shop? Where is it?

I always have a rental car, and pick up a case or 2 locally.
I hate tap water everywhere. I'm with KJ Luvs Pluto I have an excellent well that is pretty much spring water.

I think the brand of bottled water we liked most down in Florida was Zepherhills....it was comparable to the poland spring water we get up here. I don't think I would drink the tap water.....I would definately buy some locally.

Where do you think they bottle the water from?

Drink the tap water. If you don't like the taste, filter it or add flavour crystals to the water. You are just tasting the mineral content of the water which differs from region to region.

You can also get free cups of ice water from the counter service restaurants and many of the carts.

We're flying down arriving on Sunday morning. This past Tuesday I ordered a case of water from Costco.com and it's $6.98 which includes shipping. I believe after tax it was $7.44. Costco will email you the tracking# and my case of water was delivered yesterday. I called POP today and they have two packages for me ---> my water and a box I just FedExed down on Wednesday via 2nd Day Air.

Never done this before... I'm sure it arrived just fine. I'll re-post after I get there to let everyone know....

Thats what we call it here in New England!

Do you know if you have to be a member at costcos to order it online? Anyone else with information on how to ship water? We are taking the Disney ME so we wont have our own transportation to go off site!

I need my water, dehydration scares the crap out out of me!:scared1:

You don't have to be a member to order from Costco but I believe they tack on an additional 5% if you aren't a member. But even 5% more is less than $1 more and IMO is worth it for the ease.

When we checked into Pop Century we asked about our packages and a CM brought them to us at the front desk as we were checking in. The case of water was waiting for us in one piece with no leaks.

At Disney we purchased a water bottle carrier that's a rubber thing that goes around the neck of the bottle and connects to a backpack or belt loop with a carabiner for $6. It's really handy!!

We also use the Crystal Light powders in the parks. Any of the counters will give you a glass of ice water if you ask -- ask for a big one and stir in your drink mix. Not all locations have good water, though. We found that even with some of the drink powders we could still taste non-filtered Florida water ick.

i just looked that up myself you can get water at staples watch how many you put in there. if you order just four it will cost more than 5. on five you get free shipping. i ordered poptarts and water. that way the poptarts won't be crushed on the trip.
