Was wondering if anyone has been here and if so, could provide us with some tips/info.? We are planning a one day visit later this year with tickets we won cheap from an auction site (www.floridavacationauction.com) .

Thanks

I enjoyed our visit. It is not very fancy compared to some aquariums, but is an interesting way to spend the day.

Check the website www.flaquarium.org
for the times of their talks/demonstrations. Their penguin talk was great. Go early and sit in front to get some great pictures of the two penguins wandering around the floor. They had divers in the tank with the sharks during and fed the otters during those talks.

Don't miss the area with the seahorses and sea dragons.

One of our favorite restaurants is a short drive away. Check out the Colonnade's website. The address is 3401 Bayshore in Tampa. They have good seafood at reasonable prices.

We are members of the Aquaruim. My kids LOVE going there. We like it because it is a small aquaruim. It usually only takes us about an hour and half to go through including one show. We love seeing the penguin show. It can get crowded for this show depending on when you go. If you have kids they have a water play area outside that is great. The website info should help a lot. Like previously posted it is located near some great restaurants in Channelside. Hope this helps:)
