We had to give up our July Polynesian trip and booked OKW for Thanksgiving week. Not ideal but hopefully we will all have a better handle on this virus by then. And at least the weather will be better :)

Looking for any tips or warnings about thanksgiving week.
What park do you like for the actual holiday or is there one to stay away from?

Touring plans has 10's for most of our days, so I am expecting the worst.

Well as so many have said, predicting anything for the rest of this year is a crapshoot, but...

The year we went over Thanksgiving, we arrived the Saturday before, and crowds were a little heavy (we try to go at off-peak times) but manageable, but increased some each day. We checked out Thanksgiving Day to head to the beach, but kept reading about how lower-than-expected the MK crowds were on the actual holiday (and kicking myself LOL). The weather was positively fabulous so we have a great (non-sweaty 🤣) family pic to show for it. We had a great trip; you will too!!

We went last year from the Friday before to the day before Thanksgiving. yes, it was crowded but, we had a blast. Our Fastpasses worked out perfectly and we were able to get more day of, every day. Maybe not the big rides but, rides we were wanting to ride. I mean, if the Teacups are 20-30 min wait, why not use a FP if it's there, right??? LOL
I would not hesitate to go the days before again. But, like others have said, who knows how this year will turn out.
Don't worry...just plan and have a great time!!! heck, I may be there myself :D

Went Thanksgiving week in 2018 (Saturday-Saturday) and it was one of our favorite trips because the weather was so perfect and teh Christmas decorations were up.

We just went in with the expectation that we were not going to ride things multiple times, had a great FP plan in place, used our park hopper to our advantage (stayed at Beach Club), and accomplished almost everything the parks had to offer. I think we missed the Nemo Show in AK and a couple of the movies in France.

But, the only wait we had over 30 minutes was to see Mickey on Main Street. Our longest wait for a ride was actually Toy Story Mania with a FP. We even had time for non-park stuff like Disney Springs, Mini-Golf, walking the Boardwalk, and multiple mid-day breaks for pool time (though a couple of days were too cool for the pool).

All in all, with a good plan and an understanding that you can't ride headliners over and over, Thanksgiving is a wonderful week to go. In my mind it beats the weeks before and after because MK is not closing early for the Holiday party.

We have an August 1 trip planned and Thanksgiving week is our Plan B if the park is closed.

2 of the last 3 years we went down on the day before Thanksgiving and stayed through the following Sunday (so 11 day trips). The crowds got noticeably smaller every day until we got to the second weekend. Our first rule is to avoid MK on Saturdays. Other than that, we toured as normal and had no problems getting extra FPs and easily managed the crowds.

Actually, the worst crowd I saw was at Disney Springs. The Sunday before Thanksgiving....OMG, you could not move.

We went the week of Thanksgiving and found the days leading up to the actual holiday were busy, but not terrible. By Thanksgiving it was busy. But it was the first time we'd been at WDW for the Christmas decorations. Loved it.
