Any Tips for Parade Viewing/Fireworks Watching?

We're going to DLR on Wednesday! Yay! I'm so excited. We've never seen the Pixar Play parade at CA, the holiday parade at DL, or the holiday fireworks!!!

Any tips on the best place to view these or how long before "showtime" we should arrive?

If it makes a difference, we will have two little children (aged 4 and 2).

I don't actually know of a good spot but I do know where you shouldn't go. Last year we thought we had a good view of the fireworks since we could see the castle clearly but we were on the left side and there are a lot of fireworks above the left side of the castle and most of them were blocked by the trees over there so I think the right side would be better.
