DD still drinks from a bottle (will be 1 yr on our trip next month). She has a bottle every 4 hours with formula now. I would think in WDW, she will need to drink water, juice, etc much more than that to keep her hydrated and comfortable. She will sip from a regular cup or a sippy cup if someone holds it and tips it for her. She uses the platex nursers with the disposable inserts, so we don't have to worry so much about the interior of the bottle, but how do you keep the nipples really clean in WDW? We put them through the dishwasher at home, and rinse them well in between. How many bottles would you take for a 2 week trip? Would you encourage her to drink from a cup or sippy cup instead? I was going to do a grocery stop and grab a bunch of water, juice, parmalot, powerade, etc, and snacks, so she wouldn't have to bother her stomach with the odd FL water. TIA!

I always make up the bottles with just water, and then add the formula at the last minute and shake - that way you don't have stale milk hanging around all day.

As for cleaning the teats, we just took some washing up liquid and gave them a really good clean in the sink. You can also get some pretty hot water out of the coffee pot to wash them in (just don't put any coffee in it, and run the cycle through).

if she's happy with a bottle, then I wouldn't change her to a cup now, you want her to be comfortable drinking so that she will take on plenty of fluids.

I would probably take a days worth of bottles, so maybe 8? then you only have to worry about washing them at the end of each day. (or with those inserts, maybe you only need 8 teats? not sure as I haven't used those myself)

We were in WDW last month with an infant on formula. We also used the playtex nursers with disposable drop in liners. I found a neat dry formula dispenser at Walmart and loaded formula in it for three bottles.

Our baby was five months and takes about 4 oz of fomula every two to two and a half hours. So I estimated we would be in the park about 8 hours..we actually spent less, but I wanted to be sure I had enough powder along for the day if need be. I took 4 bottles with clean nipples into the parks with us....I had one all ready made up for our trip to the park and then had the reserve of three more to make up as needed.

I found both hot and cold bottled water in the baby centers in each park and made the bottle up as needed so I did not carry any bottles except the very first one into the parks...didn't want it to spoil in the heat. I also had along a sippy cup which I added water to for him to drink in addition. He is not on juice yet.

You could also clean the nipples in the baby centers as they have soaps and sink etc for cleaning feeding dishes etc.

As far as the nipples and cleaning in the room.....I cleaned the them with a nipple brush and mild dish washing soap which I had packed from home each night/morning as needed.

I think you will find it very easy if you locate and utlize the baby centers in the parks...they were wonderful.
