The Mexican places are pretty basic with the veggie items, but pretty good. BIG portions (unless they have been made smaller since last year).
Vegetarian Gumbo and Chili are very good IMO. If you don't want to waste the whole breadbowl, ask for the soup in a bowl (small small bowl, but ultimately rather filling) and the bread in a bag. Deelish to have just a few hunks of bread with butter (since you're lacto veggie) with your chili/gumbo, and then have even MORE bread later on.
I like the very basic penne with marinara at Plaza Inn, with a side salad. When on my own I just get a kid's meal of the penne, which comes with a small water (or a soda or juice if you want that instead), apple slices and carrots if memory serves. The full plate comes ith a full breadstick; the kid's meal has a half breadstick. So the kid's meal is just about half of the pasta and bread, with the other things included...add the same side salad, and I'm a happy camper!
At one character breakfast I went to, they had morningstar farms veggie sausage in back and made me a whole bunch of them for no extra cost.
Basically, they are really good to work with on the ovo lacto veggieness!
