Any Ticket Price Increase Coming Soon?

While anything is possible, the way ticket price increases have worked for years is that the increase is announced 2 days prior to implementation.

Typically, the increase is announced on a Friday, with the actual date of the new prices happening on Sunday, 2 days later.
is there usually notice for AP price increases? If I remember correctly there was no notice last October.

I don't see them raising prices. Attendance is down, they are offering some serious discounts to non-US travellers to make up for depreciated currencies and they need to fill the parks. I think Disney will not lower prices (AP is always it's own entity) they don't like to release a price-point, but they just offer discounts, extras etc. to prop up a high ticket price, and then slowly pull these out as demand builds again. In other words: same price, more perks or more discounts.

Also, there are many businesses and services that RAISE prices when business is down to temporarily make up for deficits.

Cities stupidly do this all the time.
Public transit losing ridership?
Raise the fares. (!)

There are many guests who will simply continue to pay more and more for less and less.
(If you want proof, just look at the last 5 years at WDW.)

Not following the laws of "supply and demand" can be very dangerous for a successful business,
but I've lost a lot of confidence in Disney Parks of late.

Don't you think the prices would have gone up today on AP's with the 13 month pass starting? Or is the increase not likely to happen on a weekend?

Last year they increased prices on a Sunday so weekend/weekday doesn't seem to matter.

FYI, I logged in to renew my passes online as they expire this month and the prices are the same. It specifies that it's renewing for 13 months. :yay:

I know prior to last Octobers increase they had previously gone up in February for a couple of years in a row - and there was about a 3-day heads up on the increases. I know this because we bought our last ones that just expired in July as soon as we heard about that increase & we activated them on our summer trip that year. So basically last year when they went up in October (with no warning) they had 2 increases within 1 year. Both February AND October. Perhaps if they didn't go up now they are planning to revert back to the February increases???!!!

They nearly always increase on a Sunday.
But, they generally make the announcement on a weekday.

There was no rhyme or reason for the February increases, either.
There was no "regularity" to the Feb. increases, other than they did it twice in a row.

Looking back over the years, they have not had a "regular time" to do an increase.

Right, I was just saying that maybe the October increase last year was more of an anomaly for whatever reason and was just guessing that now maybe they'll go back to a February pattern. Eons ago weren't the tix increases always in August?
