My mom and I are taking a trip to Disney world for my 13th birthday. We are very excited, but we are debating whether or not to go to the ghirardelli ice cream shop. I think it sounds delish because I really like ghirardelli chocolate. Tell me if you think this is a good choice. :thumbsup2

Thanks!!

The Ghiraedelli Ice Cream shop is my family's to go spot everytime we go to Disney. Litterally everytime we know that we're going to Downtown Disney, it's just a thing that we all know with out having to voice it to one another. My mom get's coupons for it as well. Not sure where she gets them from, but you should ask your mom, she might know. Expect the lines to be out the door if you're going in the evening though. It's worth the wait which in total (waiting in line, ordering, then waiting on them to make your ice cream) takes about 20 minutes. It's worth the wait though. Btw, if you like mint chip ice cream, I'd go with the Mint Chocolate Chip Shake. That's a family fave! :cloud9:

oh goodness, when we waited in line it was closer to 45 minutes/ an hour before we actually got to sit down and enjoy the ice cream. Plus it was raining and the line was out the door. But I'd say it was definitely worth the wait. Ghiradelli is hands down my favorite ice cream ever. Just thinking about it makes me want to jump on a plane and head down to Disney World :)

Ghiradelli Ice Cream Shop brings back yummy memories :D We go to it nearly every time. I can't wait to have a sundae from there next trip :)

That place is so awesome. I think I or like a brownie sundae and it was so amazing. It is definitely worth any time you'd have to wait.

Man, I miss that place.

I love their mint ice cream. :D

I was thinking of going there this trip. This thread pretty much settles it :teeth: I already know i'm getting a banana split!

We went in December, and the service was pretty lame, but it was sooooo good, and it was a sunny day. :D

Its chocolate.... do you even have to ask? ;)
Of course you should go!

The day we arrive at WDW we always go to DTD and that is our first stop. It turned into a tradition. I love that place, but make sure you let the choclate soften first before you eat it...i wasnt so smart last time and cracked a tooth or lost a filling, not sure which one because it was a while ago.

You must go there! Amazing chocolate and UNBELIEVABLE ice cream sundaes. I went with my family and we all decided that it must be tradition for every trip from here on out.

I went there on my trip. It was awesome.

Ghirardelli's is the best!! :thumbsup2 Like previous posters have said, it is usually VERY crowded, but IMO, it's totally worth it!! Yum!!!

oh my gosh! Ghirardelli Ice Cream Shop is AMAZING! I love it! it is so delicious! ::yes:: Me and my family go there every trip! :earsboy:

I say that you should go for it. We go on our trips and even though I'm not an ice cream fan, I do love their chocolate. The rest of my family loves their ice cream though.. Plus, one should at least try it once.

That place is awesome. Usually when you walk in, someone is there handing out free chocolate samples!! They are the full squares and are DELICIOUS!! The only thing is, if you're under 18, you can't take a sample without a parent because of food allergies and stuff....:cool1:
