Hi
I usually just fly on Delta but the Delta airfare has been consistently about $50/per person higher than I've paid in the past (probably due to the fuel price increases) but I'm holding out before booking to see what JetBlue is going to be. Is there anyone who follows these things who might know when JetBlue might release airfare for the rest of September (it's up until 9/4 right now)

I am going in Sept too. I booked with Delta. My tickets ended up being $216 after taxes so I don't think it was that bad. I am a planner and I just couldn't wait till the last minute to buy tickets.

I'm a planner too...Delta tickets would have been 217 for me too. But i got them for 167 last year and the year before (for the same week) so now I'm spoiled. It's sadly making me anxious that I haven't booked my airfare but I wanted to see if I could get it somewhat lower on JetBlue...since Delta doesn't have a refund policy (without paying the $50 change fee)

I don't know when SW first announced availability for Sept last year. I don't think it was until May, I'm going crazy waiting, but have to, as our alternatives on Delta and NW are over $300 round trip!

:) Last year SW released September fares in mid April, about the 16th.

The release before that was on about 2/16.

This year, they released new flights to 8/24 in the beginning of Feb, so I am thinking somewhere around 4/10?

I am waiting for September too. :goodvibes

Thank yoU! I don't suppose you recall if they had a good internet fare right at the release? I know when I booked for our Dec 2005 trip they did. So I didn't have to keep going back to check for better. I seem to recall seeing several savings over the summer for Sept/Oct. I just hope I dont' have to wait that long to book. It will kill me.:rotfl2:

Here is where it really pays to be patient. Southwest comes thru for us every time. The last 4 times we've flown with them it was only $49 each way. They even had a ding a few weeks ago for $29. Needless to say I was desparately trying to find a way to go even though dh has no more vac. time and we'd have to cancel something else to go. good luck!

Last year, I didn't end up getting tix til the end of June. But by the time we left, with DING, our tickets were $103 round trip, including tax, for nonstops. And I had enough of a credit to pay for the majority of the cost of my flights in January!

With the rate increases, I am not expecting to do that well again, but if I do, I'll be thrilled!

Closer to the top of this board, kisobel posted (correctly) that JetBlue fares are now available for September and October!

They are not coming up for BUF to MCO. Keeps telling me fares are only out til 9/4!

Interesting... I wonder if it's just Boston? Because I can book BOS-MCO or BOS-LAS (haven't tried anything else) through October 31. Strangely, though, on the page that lists the various flights? The "previous day" button works for both legs - but the "next day" button isn't active.

I've got to book one leg over the phone because I have a voucher that can only be used 'live'. Let me try calling JetBlue and see what's up.

I just checked Jetblue.com and although their calendar will allow you to select a date past Sept. 4, when you actually select a date past then, and try to book it, you get an error message saying "We're not selling seats yet on the date you selected. Currently, we're selling seats for all destinations through September 04, 2007. Please check back again soon for flights after that date." I also checked Kayak.com and couldn't find anything there either.

Any update on this?

answered my own question...JetBlue is now allowing you to select flights for Sept. It's showing til Sept 4th on the schedule but if you put in your dates..flight times do come up. Thanks!

Now...book JetBlue or Delta??? :confused3 ...same exact price for both :(

I don't know how Delta works, but on JB if you book now and the rate goes down, you can call and they will give you a credit towards a future flight. :) Just something to keep in mind when making your decision.

This year I'm really going to try to be patient. Last year I jumped the gun and paid 1000.00 for my tickets because I was so excited to go. I also reserved offsite, then found the dis and a few weeks later I found out about free dining:eek: We still had a great time but this year Im playing it smart.popcorn:: waiting for southwest popcorn:: waiting for free dining
:rolleyes1 it's killing me but I'm doing it!

Ended up booking on JB since they have a better rebooking policy if prices go down. And double checked prices today...Delta went up $10 per person (after being $217for almost 2 months!) So I'm glad I booked :)
