Hi,

Just wondering what the beginning part of June is like at WDW? How are the crowds and weather? Is it really hot and humid then?
Any info would be great!
Thanks! :goodvibes

We were there this year from May 31 through June 7. We had a wonderful time. Yes, it was hot and humid but not unbearably so (highs around 85 most days). Only rained twice....both times in the evening/night (once was when a tropical storm moved through). The crowds weren't bad at all. We FastPassed Test Track, Mission Space, Soarin', RnR, ToT, and EE. All other rides were less than 20 minutes (with the exception of Peter Pan (not FastPassed due to the fact we wouldn't be at MK when they came due) and Dumbo....both of which were 40 minutes). Most rides we had 5-10 minute waits, and several we just walked right on to without a wait. We took advantage of EMH a couple of mornings, but not every day. We did notice it getting a bit more crowded by the end of our week there, but not terribly so. The lovebugs were more noticeable at the beginning of the trip but we hardly saw any the last few days. I wouldn't hesitate to go again the same days next year (if only I could convince DH of the need to go again so soon! LOL). :thumbsup2

What used to be called Gay Day, and over the years has turned into a week, will be June 3-9 2008. The parks can be very crowded during that week. Numerous organizations schedule park trips so if you are in that park on that day it can be down right unmanageable. Not knowing it excited in 1995 we went to MK the first Saturday in June and you would have thought it was Easter weekend.

We were there June 2-13 this year. It was hot, but not unbearable, except for Animal Kingdom (which always seems to be uncomfortably hot). It wasn't too bad crowd-wise at the beginning of the trip, but slowly picked up during our stay. There was never a day where we felt like we were overwhelmed by people or had a hard time moving through the parks. No big Brazilian tour groups to contend with either. Our town car driver told us they start showing up late June and peak in July. We had a great time. :thumbsup2

One more thing, If you Google gay day at Disney you will find sites that will list their itinerary. If you tour around them you should be OK. The day we went to MK and it was packed, we left and went over to Epcot and it wasn't as bad.

We were there from the 15th till the 24th, it didn't get bad till about the Wednesday we were there heat wise. Crowds weren't bad, till towards the end when tour groups started arriving.

Thanks for all the replies! We were planning on April, but I thought June might be better to take the kids out of school since report cards are done at the end of May and they don't do a lot for the rest of June.
Thanks for the info everyone :goodvibes

Like others have posted June is hot, humid and crowded. We now go in April and we love it. Temps and crowds are doable (avoid Easter week though).

I have 5 words about Disney in June..... hot, humid, sticky, rainy and crowded!! ;)

I have been to WDW several times the first part of June - it is hot and humid but usually not too unbearable. We try to return to our room for an afternoon swim so we are not in the park during the hottest part of the day. My most recent trip July/August 07 was so hot it was miserable.
