I just looked on the forcast and it says it will be raining 5 of the 7 days we will be there. Any suggestions of things to do to keep a little dry. Thanks :)

Go to the parks. The bad weather will deter some locals from going on a day trip. Most of DL's rides are indoors, and most of the lines are undercover as well. One tip: Do not buy a poncho in the park. Buy them ahead of time at a local store because the prices are lower. Same goes for umbrellas.

To get from DL to DTD (for dinner or shopping) or DLH/PPH take the monorail. To get from the park entrance to the hub, weave through the Main Street shops. On both sides they are fully connected except for a little break midway. It's also less crowded inside the shops.

Im not sure where you find your weather information but only Next Friday shows of a raining forcast.

We were there this past Friday when it was pouring! We went from the Tiki Room, to the Jungle Cruise, on to Pirate, and then in the Haunted Mansion since all were covered. We walked right on all of the rides one right after the other. Then we headed over to DCA for Playhouse Disney and Crush. All were covered but our pant legs and shoes were drenched just from walking around so we headed back to the hotel to dry out. They said this was a crazy amount of rain for the area so hopefully you'll just get the "light rain" that was expected for us...if any!

We will be there the 8th-15th. I looked up the weather on the accuweather.com site and it gives a 15 day forecast. I am just hoping it changes a little :) And maybe there won't be to much rain :)

We're going the 8th-10th and I checked accuweather and was so bummed out! But weather.com says rain only Friday. We'll see. I'd say 90% of the time rain is predicted it doesn't come or is very light. So the odds are in our favor, especially since we just has a nice storm!! We do DL this time of year and every year and it has never rained. Let's keep praying for each other :) :)

If you need a break from the rain, check out the Animation Building in DCA, or sit in front of the fire in the "Great Hearth" at the Grand Californian... I love it when the storyteller and the campfire song people come around, it's so cozy there. Try to find the rides with inside queues and shows that are indoors. If the rain is really bad, go see a movie in DTD, have a nice sit-down meal, or take some time away from the parks to go to the Character Warehouse Store. Or, you can embrace it and ride Splash Mountain and/or Grizzly River Run over and over again...

We were just there on Friday it rained most of the day. I'm not sure of the ages of your kids. We went to DCA and did Playhouse Disney, and then all of the things in the animation building, except for the drawing. We ran out of time before we could do Muppets 3D, and the Aladdin musical. We had reservations for lunch a the Blue Bayou. But that was what I had planned for that day.

We drive down next week, currently here it is -(minus)26 degrees with knee deep snow. A little rain would be a welcome pleasure. Can't see it spoiling the day, I guess it is all about what one is used to. Individual tolerance levels, all is relative I guess.

It rained on us ALL day Friday, but it didn't stop us. In fact it did keep many folks away. Use this time to knock out some rides, just take rain gear and some Ziplocs to put things in. Extra shoes and sock, because it was COLD, so we went back to the room later to dry out. Keep in mind DL will not do the parade even if the ground is a little wet. we sat on the curb for 1hr to see all the characters ride down in a big double decker bus, can you say Pissed. They didn't even make an announcement that the parade would be modified, I was not impressed. So make sure you catch the Christmas Parade on a the first dry day.

The only one that I saw closed to due to rain was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. They also closed the Aladdin show most of the day because the stage area was flooded.

Wow! I cant believe the BTMR was the only one closed! I figured Screamin would be closed as well as MM and maybe Spash Moutain...I am so excited, I already have my ponchos! Trying to talk my friends into rain boots, but they will not even think about it!

WooHoo! 2 More days until Disneyland with NO KIDS! Woo Hoo!

I didn't pass by Screamin or MM when it was raining but we did walk by Splash Mountain and tried to convince DD4 to go on since the wait was an amazing "0 minutes" but she wouldn't budge....bummer for us. If only DD2 was tall enough, she would have been on that ride in a heart beat! :)

I don't mind DL in the rain at all! I got a poncho there about 10 years ago... and wouldn't ya know, it's still in good shape. Whenever I wear it somewhere else I always get smiles :)

I try to gauge the intensity of the rain... for heavy deluges, we go shopping or hang out the theater where they show Steamboat Willie (I know I know the name but it escapes me at the moment!) or the DL 50 years/Mr. Lincoln show. Light rain, any thing else is okay. Be sure to have money for hot chocolate!

The ride that's most likely to be closed if it rains heavily is Pirates because the water system gets flooded and the splash is too big (you have to wait for some of the water to be drained out). Rain's great though, because it really does keep the day trippers away in droves. I remember going to Disneyland one rainy Sunday afternoon in the springtime as a kid and the place was about as close to a ghost town as Disneyland can be.

Pretty sure they also close the Teacups and Alice when it rains.

If you are really desperate to get in out of the rain you could spend some time in Innoventions. I, personally, would rather go with some of the other ideas like sitting down for a meal but just thought I would throw that one in there.

Disneyland in the rain has a whole new magic. When we were there we loved it! Don't worry too much because the majority of the time it doesn't last for very long anyway.

Trust me, it will NOT rain 5 out of the 7 days of your trip.

This is Southern California.
