Any talks about a hard ticket event inside mvmcp?

I just re-read the thread in question too....

"I do not believe there are any events within the party for MVMCP this year."

Either way, we'll have fun...but would definitely jump on reserved seating and dessert party during MCMCP. I keep checking because I don't want to miss an announcement..... :)

I'm a little confused :confused3 well else is new ? Following that link on 10/28 Berlioz said something like wait and see and on 10/29 said I don't believe there will be.... I certainly have great respect for Berlioz and the knowledge BUT I'm not reading as an absolute that this won't be a possibility.

From the way it is written, I believe :) she can't outright confirm it in writing and she doesn't want you to lose your house payment, if you were indeed betting on a special event!;) She said "wait and see" regarding the Jack Skellington info and then confirmed when that info was posted by another DISer.

Most Entertainment CMs I know are sworn to secrecy on upcoming characters and events and they don't release info. From my perspective, I'm reading it as an absolute, but, we'll find out once November 7th arrives, I guess.

:rotfl: well then we shall see (you of the good memory)

I really think the extra/premium/Frozen event is the BS they're doing at Hollywood Studios, which has really been the epicenter of all things Frozen (minus a M&G) since they did Frozen Summer Fun.

Personally, as a MVMCP attendee, I'll be glad if there's no premium event inside it.

I'm hoping there will be so some people will be busy while I'm enjoying the party! :)

That's a possible benefit, but not at the expense of taking away elements that in the past were open to the average ticket holder. This is an old argument, and I don't want to rehash it here, but had I gone to MNSSHP this year, I would be really, really upset that two of the elements that we enjoyed most (meeting the princes and the villains after the Mix & Mingle) were taken away.

I have no prior experience with MVMCP so have no general expectations.

It's really hard for me to imagine spending that kind of money when we're already purchasing a special event ticket for so much. But I understand why/how others can and do. We're already paying for a park ticket for the morning, then paying the cost of the MVMCP ticket. To then add another ticket for a special event within a special seems too much for us!

:thumbsup2 Totally agree! The only way I'd buy another ticket after already buying the MVMCP ticket is if Johnny Depp himself were there!

I was hoping to hear something soon too! I feel like if there was going to be something we would have heard by now.

Yep...but then I get it, for some people the extra event inside the event is worth it to them. FOr me, there has to be a REAL celebrity on the other end.

It is like when we go to a comicon...I'm already spending money to get in the door...about equal to maybe a bit more than a day at WDW...and then once inside people will spend extra for seats in special panels, or photos with stars...and let's not even talk about the price for autographs.

So looking at it that way, if DD was a bit younger it would be a no-brainer for me to be able to give her that experience.

Hmm. I was counting on this to give me the push I needed to cancel my tickets for that ridiculous frozen premium thingy I hastily bought.

That's the main reason there isn't a special event for MVMCP. With the DHS event, they've convinced guests to pay for events that are open to everyone. They didn't need to add something "special" and more costly, to Disney, for MVMCP.

I got a survey for my trip 2 weeks ago. It was a separate one from the hotel survey. It asked what parks I did on what days. Good thing I have a good memory! It asked a bunch of questions about the Frozen thing at DHS. Did that influence my choice to go to DHS, did it make me more likely to go to DHS, etc. I don't have kids, I answered not interested!

We'll see how reviews go for the early events, but I guess they'll learn their lesson if everyone starts canceling shortly after. Or maybe it will be surprisingly wonderful.

If DHS serves desserts on the level of what was served at the Soirée as well as amazingly themed unlimited cocktails, then that would be a plus to many.

Interesting, I think a lot of us thought a hard ticket event inside of MVMCP was a total given just waiting to be announced with how well the villains one did at MNSSHP. But I can see why they decided not to since DHS is doing a special event during the "holiday" season already, so that and MVMCP might be enough for them I guess.

I definitely would've bought a ticket to meet the whole frozen cast at a dessert party, my kids would've loved it. Oh well one less extra expense
