Any SW deals?

Will be booking 2 trips to Florida in the next couple of weeks. Are there any deals for the credit card that would give me miles? We aren't CC people but I'd be willing if it would pay my airfare!

If you already have a Chase Rapid Rewards card, you might want to apply for a Chase Ink card. It says it's for business, but I put down that I sold some books on Amazon and got the card with 70,000 miles. There is a 95 annual fee that is NOT waived the first year with this deal. Those miles transfer 1:1 to Southwest. Not sure if you will meet your 2 week turn around, and the 70,000 mile deal has expired, but it's worth looking into what the promotion is now.

Two weeks is a bit short for the cc deals. After approval it takes 7-10days to get the card and the points show up after the statement in which you meet the spend posts.

Even if you spent the $ for the bonus the day you got your card, it wouldn't post until 3-4weeks later when your statement closes.

For a CC deal you need at least a two month notice. You first have to spend the require $ amt to get the points. Then you have to wait for your statement to close before you get the points credited to your acct.

For Chase Ink you would need to spend $5k in 3 months to get the current offer of 50,000 points.

Thanks. I guess I will fly Spirit this time. They have some decent fares with the $9 fare club and the 1 year membership will pay for itself with the first trip.
