No hotel rooms available at Disney? You've got to be kidding. There must be thousands of rooms at Disney. For them to be completely sold out would be unheard of. Call CRO back, check the Internet and you will eventually find one.

CDPA---as surprising as it sounds, yes, Disney can be sold out of THEIR ALLOTMENT of rooms. I am a travel agent, Disney Specialist, and started working 12/23 on a package for a family of 3 at the AKL for 3/12. I didn't have much trouble finding a room but just about had a heart attack at the cost of airfare. By the time he finally committed to this trip, mid-Jan, the air was off the map! Disney Travel qtd me $447.00 pp Nashville to Orlando on DL! Southwest flights were completely sold out for his dates so he ended up booking USAir at $317 pp RT. RIDICULOUS!! Here's the deal....each travel company is given X amt of rooms to sell in each category at certain prices. When those rooms are gone, they're gone. As availablity gets less and less, the prices go up. Mid-Feb to mid-April is typical Spring Break all over the US so everyone is trying to go to the same place at the same time. This is not only true of hotel rooms but of cruise cabins and airfare. This is why you want to book your packages as soon as you can--especially if you're looking at peak travel times near holidays and Summer vacations.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info Karen. We found this out the hard way when we tried to book a Disney Cruise for next March. Found out it's about $2200 more than what we'd pay early Feb or in May. Guess we'll just have to visit POR again!
