Any suggestions?

Having made quite a few trips to Florida, we feel we would like to take a multi-centred trip next year, combining Florida with other US destinations. We have two sons who will be almost 17 and almost 14 by next summer. This year we had a stopover in New York, which we all loved. We are used to being active on holiday, so would like somewhere with plenty to keep everyone occupied. Scottsdale in Arizona has been suggested to us - it looks beautiful, but I wonder if it might be too quiet, considering what we are used to! Nothing worse than bored teenagers! I would be really grateful for any suggestions. Thanks for your help.

We are going on our 4th trip at Easter and will be stopping over in Washington DC on our return to the UK. DS is 16 - so we understand what you mean about bored teenagers. I have been to Washington before - briefly - and really enjoyed it. Lots to see and do. As we are flying indirect with BMI, it seemed an ideal opportunity to stop over and there is no extra cost - except for hotel accommmodation while we are there.

Depends what you're looking for really.
