I am going to WDW in August. I have recently been diagnosed with moderate to severe hearing loss. I especially have trouble hearing things when there is backround noise. I am sure that will be a major problem at the parks. I have no idea if I will need any special equipment to help me or if any such help is available at the parks. Please advise me if you have any info. I am so excited to be going and would like it to be a memorable experience. Thank you

Contact Mark Jones for a list of assistive d=listening devices and where they can be used. Also the handheld PDA that can be used in the rides where captioning is not an option. Use the reflective captioning. It is all on one doc that Mark can send you,
I am assuming you do not yet know sign language. If I am wrong you can also ask for the interpreting schedule for the parks.

My advice to you is to learn sign language. Sign language support is great when there is a lot of background noise. I depend on it. Speech reading is iffy at best even for the best speechreaders. And get hearing aids if they help.
