I think there are 2 schools of thought. If we request the far end closest to EPCOT, it is a much closer walk to same. If we request near Cape May, we would be closer to the bus lines, the boat the pool the restaurants. I don't know anything about the hotel, and don't know if the above is true. Does anyone have any suggestions for room request here.
Anyway, it was a nice room and all, just far away, so I was ready the next day to complain until my kids went out our slider (we were on the ground floor) and walked around the pool and right there was the path for Epcot. I loved being that close to the path and it made up for being so far away from the lobby. It's just a matter of preference. No matter what end of the hotel you stay in just ask for a refurbished room. You may also want to ask if the pool there is open, I thought I heard that it was closed for repairs at some point.

I like to sit out in the morning with my coffee. The small balconies are small, just enough room to stand at the railing. It depends on what you prefer. No matter which, it is a lovely resort.
