I have 2 old park hoppers from last year, and I have no idea how many days are left on them.:sad2: I have heard that you can't find out till you get there. Now I want to buy some before I go so I will save a little $, but I don't know how many days I will need, plus I don't understand the new tickets. We will be going April 30-May 7, and we won't go to the parks May 7, the day we leave. I wasn't planning on going to the parks the day we arrived, but it looks like it will only be about $6.00 if we do, so we will! Also, we would like to go to at least 1 waterpark, possibly 2.
Please help! What would you do?
Thanks!:earsgirl:

Can you recall your previous trip at all? At least have an estimate on how many days you have left? Do you know if there were pluses on the ticket? Do you remmeber how many days were on it originally? IF so think how many days you were there for.

I have a 2 1-day ticket hopper left but we chose not to use it. The reason was that we had to get at least a 4 day ticket anyhow. Once you keep adding days to the 4-day ticket it's only a few dollars each. Then we made our itinerary and didn't really need to hop. I figured we can save it for another short trip.

If in the past you visited a water park and/or Pleasure Island but did not go to a theme park you did not consume a day off your pass. (Still true now)

If your upcoming vacation is 5 to 10 days, you are better off not using the old passes, except to use up any plusses remaining. As you said, adding the first evening would cost you an extra six dollars, so that is all you would save by using up a day off of an old pass instead. Meanwhile if you had a weekend or single day trip further in the future, the old pass will give you more than sixty dollars per day of value.

You can buy your new tickets in advance without planning for the first evening. WHen you get tehre and if you want to go in the first evening you can add the extra day right there. Because they use a gate price to gate price formula you will only be paying the three dollars or so each for a sixth or seventh day.

WHile you are at it, bring the old tickets to be scanned and find out what exactly is on them. Then hide them in the room safe or take them only to waterparks (or Pleasure Island) if there are any plusses remaining.
