Just wondering if any of you have tips on taking a 22 month old, or should I just wait until she's older?

Your 22 mo. will love it!
You will be amazed at how many rides you can go on with her.
We took our son at 18 mo. and 26 mo. (with older siblings too). He is now 32 mo. When he sees a commercial or anything Disney he can't wait to go back. He loved the characters and shows.
Definitely do MK and AK. HS has Playhouse Disney, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Muppets, and although she can go on other attractions, you may not want to. WHen we went the first time it wasn't until half way through the day that I realized that everything he was seeing he thought was real. Some of the attractions can be scary when they are that young (Great Movie Ride, Backlot Tours, Indiana Jones.) Epcot doesn't have much, except Nemo, but World Showcase is great during nap time in the stroller.

You will have a great time.

We had my son down at 19 and 22 months and he had a blast both times. He remembered a lot of stuff from his 19 month trip. He loves rides and the characters and we took him on everything we could. He REALLY loved Typhoon Lagoon.

The hardest part with him was eating because he would get a bit antsy and changing his diaper. He HATED the changing tables. He also did not "get" the busses and that you couldn't walk around on them, so our second trip we rented a car. Other than that he loved it and had a great time.

Go and have a great time!

We took our dd when she was 22 months old in 2005. We had the greatest time and so did she!! She rode everything she was able to ride and for the rest, we did the baby swap. She was a little scared of some of the characters, but did okay with some. Of course, my ds has loved them from day one, he just turned 2 and has been twice already.

We just did as much as she could handle. She napped in the stroller some and some days we just went back to our condo for a while to rest and went back to the parks later. We did NOT do the parks every day, we had a couple of good "down-time" days where we just hung out at our timeshare and played in the pool, etc.

It is one of my favorite trips, because that is when we introduced her to Disney and started her obsession with it:lovestruc

If you are looking for a good resort, check out which pools have places to walk in the water gradually. It will give her more freedom to play. I know AKL and Wilderness Lodge do not, Beach Club/Yacht Club does (plus the sand is great)

AKL's pool is zero entry :thumbsup2

OMG- don't do that! You will be missing out on the Best trip ever. There is nothing like taking a toddler, everything is magical in their eyes, everything is real, don't miss this time. You will not regret it, there is so much for them to see and do. Have a great time, you will not be sorry you went. pixiedust:

We took my dd when she was 21 months - she LOVED it! Her favorites were: It's a Small World, Toon Town, Winnie the pooh, Jungle Cruise, all the fountains, parades, and the Playhouse Disney show. We went back to the room for a nap every day and then returned to the parks late afternoon. We had a lot of fun.

We just took our son in March at 16 months old!! He was so excited the whole time. Like someone else said, it was truly magical for him. He loves Mickey Mouse! We watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and other Disney shows some and he loves the characters. We had the best time with him.

In fact we are headed back for another visit in Sept, he'll be 22 months then, and I know he'll love it. What makes me nervous is the plane trip, everytime we fly with him (3 times so far) he wants to get out of his seat, I hope to take lots of toys for the trip.

I think you'll love it!!

One of my fondest memories is of my son at 22 months bebopping to the music of the carousel while he waited to get on. It was his first trip.

As everyone has said, your son will be fine. He'll have a great time.

Airlines were different then. It was pre-9/11 so that actually gave you food on the planes. My DS was kept busy with all the snacks the flight attendants kept giving him, even if he did end of throwing it across the aisles.:scared1:

We took DS at 18 months in Dec and he loved it! It was so much fun to watch him explore everything. He was absolutely mesmerized by Spectro Magic and loved the stream in the WL lobby. It's a great chance to stop and enjoy the little things.

We just got back last week with out 22 month DD and we had a blast. This was her second trip! She loves WDW, infact when we would get back to our room, she would cry because she wanted to do more. Take your DD and have a great vacation!:cutie:

I've never enjoyed the parks as much as I have with my toddler. It gives new meaning to the Disney "magic." What I'm trying to say is... by all means go!!!
