I am looking for a hotel for basically 6 adults, as my children are all teenagers. I don't want to spend to much per night, as we most likely will spend alot on food with 4 teenagers. But I do not want stay in a place that is not nice either, preferably breakfast included in stay. We will be going Dec. 5th to 11th. Thanks for any suggetions.:thumbsup2

In order to recommend a good hotel, I think we need a little more information than what you provided. Are you looking to stay on-site, off-site? Are you looking for some place you can cook meals? How much per night are willing to spend? What are your plans while staying in Orlando? Once we get a feel, I'm sure somebody can recommend a good place for you.

We are looking to stay off-site. I am not really looking to cook in the room, but would consider it, to keep costs down. No more than $150 per night. We plan on doing all 4 Disney parks, Disney water park and Disney Quest.

Thanks, Yvonne

Since max hotel occupancy in Orlando is 5 you either need 2 rooms or a condo/house. So you could bid on 2 rooms at a 3 star hotel, which should set you back between $30-40/nt or look for either a 2-bedroom timeshare rental or a house. Considering that you need 2 rooms the 2nd option really wouldn't be significantly more money and, with the terrible occupancy problems in Orlando, there are some fabulous deals to be had. Though you personally may not feel like doing much cooking you would still have the room to load up on supplies so your kids could at the least be able to make their own sandwiches and have readily available snacks. That could save you a ton over restaurant food.

Once you decide which you would rather do you can narrow it down further by searching this forum for threads on different types of houseing: Comfort Inn is running a $29 special for hotels, Windsor Hills for houses, timeshare rentals, etc.

If your kids are typical teens, you'll need 3 hotel rooms. For the bathroom factor alone if nothing else. I would definitely go for a condo or house.

We usually go by Sams Club when we get there and let the kids pick out heat and eat type food. Frozen lasagna, salads, breads, mini quiches. Whatever they will eat without a lot of effort in the kitchen. You can save tons on breakfast alone if you have a dozen eggs and a loaf of bread.

Try Comfort Suites Maingate East. We have stayed there for 3 disney trips. The rooms can hold up to 6 adults and you get a free continental breakfast that features.......mickey waffles! Its about 2 miles from the Walt Disney World Entrance. We love them! Do you have AAA card? We are using them this summer in June and our total cost for the room for each night including tax is $87. You cant beat that! Please check them out!:thumbsup2

Try Hotelkingdom.com. We got a good rate for Grand Cypress, you can find some good deals there.

I know the Hawthorne Suites on Canada Avenue offer 2 bedroom suites and has free breakfast. It is nice and clean. I would try Residence Inn too.

Check out Mousesavers.com for Mary's list of preferred hotels.

I would also recommend Buena Vista Suites. A full breakfast is included, there is a shuttle to parks at limited times, a microwave and frig in room. The pool is small but would work for your family.

I have booked this same hotel in October for $69.99 per night...you can get the Orlando Magic Card rate (just google orlando magic card) to same some $$$ possibly. Have fun!

We just returned from Parkway International in Kissimmee. It took us less then 10 minutes to get to all of Disney's parking lots. We had two separate bedrooms- Queen and two twins and the couch in the living room pulls out to a double or queen. Two bathrooms and had an equipped kitchen and we picked up cereal, pop tarts and fruit for quick breakfasts. Saved on dinners by doing two simple meals in the room and brought in meals from outside restaurants (saving on tips/drinks). Also, it had a washer/dryer so we didn't have to pack as much.

Not a ton of organized activities, but it has the basics (pool, movie rentals, hot tub) and was clean and comfortable. We paid $75 per night through Orbitz.

Two things- don't confuse this with Village at Parkways and this is part of a time share resort. The only thing that impacted was a couple of extra questions when we checked in when they offered some free tickets/traveller checks to go on a "tour", we declined and were on our way.
