Any success in combining dinner reservations for ROL dining package?

We are a family of five. I cannot get a ROL dining package for five of us. But I can get 2, 2 and 1 within ten minutes of each other. Does anyone have any experience with arriving at the restaurant with separate reservations, and being seated together? I would prefer not to have one person dining alone. And it's okay if we dine alone, we will still get the same viewing area for ROL, right?

I haven't tried it with 3 groups, but I had 2 reservations for my group of 9 for 10 minutes apart and they were able to seat us together. The lady at the podium told me it wasn't always possible though.

Have you tried calling and asking if they can at least note it somehow?
