I'm hoping some of you crafty Disers will be stampers! I'm organizing my new craft room and have come here before for ideas and you guys haven't let me down yet! SO... I'm back for more of your brilliant ideas! I have a bunch of rubber stamps and stamp pads I need to organize. I wouild like something I can hang on the wall or reach easily on my desk. Does anyone here have any resources or ideas I can use for this???
TIA!!

someone on twopeas made something for stamps out of a peg board and molding strips. it was pretty cool looking. maggie

Maggie- can you give me a link please???

A great way to store ink pads is in a holder made for cassette tapes. Unfortunately, these are "antique" now and you cannot buy them in a store. But, be on the look-out at garage sales, second-hand stores, your parents' attic, etc.

The only place I've found that you can purchase a new one is an online site http://www.kingdom.com/category.aspx?categoryID=273

I ordered these last week for my craft room! I ordered one for the ink pads with 100 slots and then I ordered anothee one that only had 3 long rows across it so I could use it as a place to display my stamps!

I'm still working on the pen storage though- this is gonna be a toughie!

For the stamps I have seen a pic of somebody using spice racks that mount on the wall and lining up the stamps 1 deep with the pics facing out. So you can see them all at a glance.

Ok - This will probably be long but this is how I store my stamps.

I have a large plastic chest from Office depot that sits in the corner of one of my guest rooms. Inside it I have the project holders - also from office depot. They are plastic boxes with snap shut lids that are clear. They hold one layer of stamps and they are sturdy enough that stacking one on top of another doesn't squish down and press on the rubber part of the stamps. I can also put two levels of stamp pads in them. I store the ones with stamp pads in them upside down so the ink doesn't settle to the bottom of the inkpad.

I stack these in the large chest - this does mean that every time I have a project to work on I am hauling about 20 of these project holders out of the chest, spreading them on the guest room bed and then deciding which stamps I want to use, but I don't have the room to "display" my stamps - wish I did but I don't so I don't worry about it.

You all have the greatest ideas! thanks so much for sharing them with me. I think I really lucked out on marker storage! I went to ebay and bout 48 prismacolor markers (with a cool storage unit built in) for about $80.00. When it comes down to it that's under $2.00/marker... and these are great markers. They actually have 4 widths for marking on each marker. Isn't that something?
