Any specific request for a YC water view room??

We are trying the YC for the first time in Sept. Can someone tell me if I should put a particular request in on a water room???

Ask for a view of the lake, otherwise you might get a pool view room which is considered a water view room. I was just there in June and we had a beautiful room overlooking the marina. It was about as far away from the lobby as you could get though. If distance to the lobby is important to you, put that request in too. I also asked for a large balcony and got it. Funny thing is when I first made the reservation, I asked for waterview, high floor and large balcony. When I called back to confirm or check on something, none of my requests were in there. The second CM put my requsts in. When we checked in I asked if an upgrade was possible and the CM said 'We already have you in one of our nicest view rooms'. To which I asked 'Concierge?' An lo and behold, he said 'Yes, I can give you concierge priveleges'. That was great. We didn't get the concierge floor (5th) but had the magic key that let us get to the concierge floor and lounge.

I just though of something else. In the FAQ for the YC, I believe there is a link to the layout of the YC indicating where all the rooms are. This would come in very handy for you.


In my next visit, I would ask for a first floor room with patio, Our view was somewhat obscured by trees as are many of the rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors

I went back and got the link to the floor plan layout from the FAQ. The first set of links for floor plans on the page don't work but under the post for Yacht and Beach Club Links you'll find this one that works.
