I was wondering if anyone had any tips of special areas I should request to sit that made the dining experience a little more special. For example at Cali. Grill we ask for a window seat and 50's PTC we love to sit in those middle tables that come diagonally out of the wall.

Here is a list of places we will be trying for the first time on our next trip.

Chefs de France
Sci-fi
Chef Mickeys
Yachtsman
Fresh
Margaritaville
Beaches & Cream
1900 PF
Ohana'
Boma

Thanks ;) Melissa

I also have a question regarding this. Do you ask to be seated somewhere special when you make your ADR's or when you arrive at your reservation. Thanks.

When you arrive at the restaurant; and if location is VERY important to you, be prepared to wait. Also, as with rooms, you can ask and they will try to accommodate you but if say all the window seats at California Grill have recently been filled, they won't make anybody move.

I was told by one CM that if I wanted window seats at cali grill to make sure to arrive early to podium and tell them you don't mind waiting for the window.

I think it's just us, but my Mom and I love to get a seat by the kitchen at the Cali Grill. The open kitchen is SO interesting! Then, we go OUTSIDE for Wishes. It's our favourite way to do it!

Only a few suggestions -

I prefer sitting at the counter in Beaches and Cream...more fun.

Ohana - if you are going in the evening near fireworks (Wishes) time, then request a window seat. If not, then it doesn't matter.

Sci Fi - they will usually ask you if you mind not sitting in a car - they do have some tables (with umbrellas, like snack tables at the old driveins) - but if they don't and you want a car....ask to be seated in a car to be safe.

I loved the window seat that we had last year at Ohana. Our meal was a little too early for Wishes, but we got to watch the sun set and the castle change colors as we ate. It was beautiful. We also got to see the Electrical Water Pageant as it went past, which was nice. It was honestly, a perfect location and we didn't even ask for it!

After dinner, we went down to the beach and watches Wishes from there.

The counter at B&C is a really great idea, I never would have thought of that!
Thanks, Melissa
