Any Special Events at US/IOA for Thanksgiving?

I checked their website and the Christmas stuff doesn't seem to start until Dec. 7th. We will be there from 11/22 thru 11/28/08 was hoping they would have something planned for Thanksgiving.

We also have tickets for Seaworld & Aquatica for the same time. Nothing on their site either for this time frame. Are most of the restaurants open for the holiday? Any ideas on other spots in Orlando that might have special events going on?

I don't think any of the themeparks (Seaworld, Universal, or Disney) do anything special for Thanksgiving except for Thanksgiving meals/buffets at some of the restaurants. Last year, a lot of the Christmas decorations were already up by Thanksgiving though.

The Portofino traditionally does Harbor nights the Friday after Thanksgiving.

It is an adult wine and food tasting. It is held out on the Piazza and usually has live music.

Sometime during the evening (can't remember the time), they light the huge Christmas tree in the middle of the Piazza.

There is nothing like the Portofino all lit up for Christmas. We will be there over Thanksgiving again this year.

The only think they had was the Christmas tree up at the US, and the Hard Rock had their tree up. Also they had the gingerbread houses on display and activities like making your own gingerbread house that week, can't remember which day exactly. Also the buffets had special Tday dinners. We will be there too for Tday.
