I hear all this talk about "chair hogs" and angry people just taking the stuff off the chair that I'm afraid to leave my chair to go into the water when I'm solo at a resort. I'm not talking about leaving my stuff for a long time, I'm just talking 20 minutes or so. But I'm so afraid that someone will come along, move my stuff, and sit themselves down. I guess I just can't imagine how people can have the nerve to come down, leave their towels on the chair, and then go to the parks all day, sure that their stuff will still be there when they return. Maybe I shouldn't worry so much for just a few minutes. Anyone else?

;) I go to the pool by myself in Disney all the time and get in the pool. I wear a hoodie coverup and Birkie's down, remove them and sit them on the chair or lounger (put my room card and phone deep in the pocket, leave purse and wallet in the room). No one touches it, looks at it or bothers it at all. My chair is usually in view and I look over and check it time to time. There is usually a CM at AKV-Kidani picking up towels and I have never seen them touch anything but towels and only it that is the only thing remaining on the chair. People usually want a fresh towel when they get out so the fact that they have to get another is OK. I think at times someone my loose their chair but only if there is nothing marking it. Don't worry about it and have fun at the pool!!

:thumbsup2 I re-read your post. People actually put their stuff on chairs and then go to parks? That is crazy. Another issue I have are people that leave their laundry unattended. That makes me nuts and something I have never done. Kidani has a TV in the laundry and I just watch something interesting and strike up a conversation with other folks while waiting.

Leaving your stuff unattended all day at a pool takes gall.

I've left my swim stuff (sandals, cover up, etc...) many times on a chair while I go in the pool and never had any trouble with people moving it. While in the pool I glance back at the chair just to check in on it, but no problems with it so far.
