I've booked myself on the Magical Express for my trip next year, figured it would be 'safer' travelling with others, rather than get a taxi/towncar by myself.

Have any solos used this and what were your experiences?

The only thing that concerns me is being on a bus which is full of families and I'm by myself

I used it solo in May. There were others on there with me. . .we all talked and laughed and had a great time. I am a talker though and will talk to ANYONE. . .I will be on ME solo again in 3 weeks. . .can't wait.

Don't be concerned at all! I love ME! You will not stick out at all. It is a motorcoach so there are only two seats together, so big groups take up several sets of seats and people sit alone all the time. It is a comfortable ride. They drop you off right at the front of your resort, and you don't have to get your luggage at the airport. Enjoy your trip! You have made a great decision in utilizing ME.

I used DME solo in May also...I arrived late around 11:30pm -midnight. No problems at all...very safe and freindly.

Go for it. :thumbsup2

I just used it solo 2 weeks ago. I'm usually a towncar girl but didn't want to do that alone so I tried ME. It was fine. A lady sat next to me, her son and DH were across from us.

The one thing that I didn't like, and I think I must have caught ME on a bad day, was that from checking in at the ME desk to setting foot on my bus took 45 minutes. Then we still had the ride to the hotel. I missed the speedy exit in the towncar.

Allyson :)

I used ME solo in Sept 2007 and have it booked again
for December.

My experience was great. A fast, fun way to get to the
resort. I loved the fact that I didn't need to lug by suitcase
with me during check in and finding my room.

But there were families on the bus and I was by myself.
Can't really get around that if it's a concern.

keep in mind some people are there for conferences or are meeting up with people...so there are plenty of solos. I used it when I was there for a conference in Feb and I didn't even give it a second thought that I was a solo. :)

I'm riding the bus by myself in 32 days :) My friends are driving down, I'm flying.

My sister and I rode the bus when we went last December, it was great. On the way back to the airport the bus was filled not with families, but a teen aged sports team lol.

Ive used it solo both directions many times. never a problem

I wonder if it is ever filled with single DIS guys. . .say about 40 something and still having a good time?

Like everyone else, I've used ME solo, at least 5 times, and never had a problem. I've often sat next to another person, someone else who's excited about their trip, and it's always been fun talking with my fellow traveler.

I have used ME solo...really solo...not many planes arrive at 6:30 am ..well maybe people are just not crazy enough to choose them ....I have literally been the only one on the bus!! The other couple that were on the bus got off at the first and closest resort ..I of course was at the farthest one and it took awhile to get there ...it was a blast ..no problem and my luggage arrived shortly after and my room was available at 8 am......

I will be taking ME in April/May when I go to Disney. It just seemed most convenient and it was already included. Now I just need to book my flight. I'm trying to hold out until there is a fare sale. :cool2:

I went by dme to Pop Century in 2006, POFQ in 2007, CSR with sister and kids on dme 2008. Next year its DME solo again to the Beach club. At this rate in 2010 its going to be the Grand Floridian!
