We'll be staying at The Contemporary Resort (thanks to SOG), in September. Just curious as to what floor was assigned to SOG and any opinions of your stay.

We were there last week for just 2 nights thru SOG. They have all of the SOG folks in the North Garden wing which I thought was a good location. We had 2 adjoining rooms on the second floor and had a nice view of the lake. We really liked the Contemporary, which was a nice surprise as I wasn't really that impressed when we visited there before. But the rooms are very pretty and roomy, with nice big bathrooms. The decor is kinda retro funky but it works. The location of the North Garden Wing is convient to the food and fun center and if you go out the front door and follow the path you can walk to the MK , which is what we did. My kids really loved the hugh game room, and there is a fun slide in the pool. Have a great trip.

I spent 8 days there in June/July and loved it! AFAIK, all the SoG folks are in the North wing, which is a great location. (1) It's near the parking, (2) you can watch the fireworks from your room of the parking lot, (3) you can watch the boat parade from your room or the park area, (4) you can walk to the MK in less than 10 minutes, (5) you are a very quick walk to the snack shop to get your mug refills.

My mother was in one of the handicapped rooms (she needed one) on the first floor facing the bay. The had a patio with chairs. We were on the second floor next to my sister's family with a connecting door. No patio, but we had sliding glass doors that we could open to hear the boat parade. All 3 rooms were huge!

I walked around the resort telling my husband "I love this place!" again and again. I think he thought I was nuts ;). I'm hoping that my mom will want to make another trip next year ... I'd stay at the CR for $89 per night anytime!

We had 4 rooms in the North Garden wing in May. Every room was clean and in excellent condition. We were treated as I imagine every guest at CR is treated, everyone was friendly, helpful and polite.

I've been reading reports of people having trouble with everything from room condition, to housekeeping, to rude CM's. Our group of 11 people in 4 rooms had absolutely no complaints of any kind.

Is the check-in/check-out desk for SOG guests actually in the North Garden Wing, separate from the main CR check-in desk? I sure hope so!

*crosses fingers*

You check in at the main desk just like everyone else. The ONLY difference in anything is the rate you are paying.
