Does anyone know if they have it anywhere at DL?? I'm realizing I never got one on my last DW trip and I reeeeally want one. Don't think the husband would support a trip to FL based on this sudden craving. They have them at Dunkin Donuts, and they're delicious, but they're not cinnamon sugar.

If you're asking about cronuts, no. There is a chain called DK Donuts that has them, the closest is in Orange and hey deliver. Knott's bakery which is outside the park was making them at one point, but the trend was several years ago, so you might want to call to see if they still make them.

Yeah, the Epcot croissant donut is the same thing as a Cronut, they just couldn't use the name because Cronut is trademarked. Sorry, but as SMD said, at this point there is no place to get a croissant donut in the Disneyland Resort. I wouldn't be surprised if it makes it way over to DLR at some point, but it's not there yet.

Thanks. Bummer! They have a month and a half to make it happen ;)

If you have a Red Robin near you, they have a croissant donut dessert. I don't know if it is the same thing, but thought I'd mention it.

I personally fully support a trip to Florida for a craving. Tell your hubby I said you could go! :teeth:

Sounds good enough for me! Of course, he'll probably want to send you the bill. That's ok, right? ;)

I'll have to check out the Red Robin one. Our D and D ones are delicious, but something about that sugar/cinnamon combo.........

I didn't know this was a thing! I thought our local bakery invented it :rotfl:

Not sure MY DH would be ok with it. But if you want to send it to my SISTER I am sure she will jump right on that! :rotfl2:

Nope, the "Cronut" craze launched in NYC about 5 years ago. A Greenwich Village bakery has the trademark on the name, but others have claim to have sold similar products for decades.

It's kinda come and gone as food crazes go...now the big thing is "wonuts"...waffle/donut hybrids.

That's funny! I only discovered cronuts about a year ago; I hope they don't go away here for a while. We're sort of a backwoods area when it comes to gastronomics so I'll probably be able to get them for some time to come. Wonuts? That doesn't sound nearly as tasty :)
