Any sleep on sleeper sofas @ AKV?

We're taking the grandparents with us to DW this year. I'm thinking of getting 2 AKV studios since there are 4 adults and 1 child. I know that the 1bd AKV can hold 5 and it has a full kitchen. So the question is...how bad are the sleeper sofas and is it worth it for a kitchen? (P.S. The grandparents would get the King bed!)

The AKV sofabed I was on last month would have made a wonderful substitute for a rock---I won't be back in a Studio there.:cool2:

I could be wrong about this, but I was under the impression that not all the 1 bedrooms would sleep 5, and the ones that did would be in Kidani Village. Kindani hasn't been built yet.

I stand corrected. Maybe it was there isn't an extra bathroom?

we went to AKV last August and got a 1 bedroom with a sleeper sofa and a pull out chair. we have DD who is 16 & DS who is 12 so we were planning on DS sleeping in the King Size bed with Dad & I but the pull out chair worked wonderfully. the kids did not complain about sleeping on either. I know my DD said she definitely has slept on worse.

HA! LOL! An adult perspective is what I needed. 2 studios and the kid on the pull-out! She hardly sleeps anyway!:rotfl2: Thanks!

the studio does not have a FULL KITHEN, just so you know. It is a coffee maker, toaster and a microwave and frig. There is also a sink. by there is not a full size frig or a stove. There are paper plates and bowls for 4.

One in my party stayed in a sleeper sofa in an AKV studio this spring and had no complaints.

We stayed at ssr in a studio last year. My DD and DNiece called the bed the "rock". We will never stay at a resort that has a pullout bed again!!

I slept on the pullout sofa this past February in a studio....it was great.....granted there was not much "give" in the mattress but I looked at that as an asset not a liability as you can usually feel the bar on those pullouts....

I'm typing this from the sofa pullout right now! I've been sleeping on it since our 3rd day here. I slept on the bed the first two nights and woke up with a backache both times. I've been sleeping on the pullout since then (4 nights now) and have not had any problems. Both my children sleep on it and nap on it too - they prefer it to the bed. It could be different in other rooms but this one's comfortable.

Not sure if the sofa beds are similar at AKV & SSR, but we just returned from SSR, and the sofa bed was probably the most comfortable one I have ever been on. Thick cushioning and no "bar in the back" feeling.
