MBF..I finally got to see a photo ;) For some reason, this computer at work, which is top of the line, won't show me your pic. It shows everyone else's though. :confused3 . On the other hand, my dinosaur computer at home popped up your photo right away. Very nice looking, by the way

Jikos is lovely. An maybe a walk around the savannah hand-in-hand afterwards, followed by a nitecap in the lounge.
I've done exactly this at Jikos. Went for dinner and a visit to the animal observaton area. It was a slower time of year so it was very quiet. All you could hear was the tall grass moving in the wind while giraffes and other animals quietly walked through the area.

Hi ladies and gentlemen!

The one key thing to keep in mind is that romance is in the mind and heart first and foremost. A setting can enhance the experience and Disney World is filled with romantic places that can do just that.

A boat ride from OKW or Port Orleans to DTD on a cool evening..then the ride back.
A boat ride from any where to anywhere else when you are the only passengers (the captain has to keep eyes forward).
A walk on any number of beaches...Carribean Beach, Poly, CR, GF etc is great..anyone who has read my book knows that these can be great late at night...bring a towel unless you like sand in your privates.
Renting a boat and taking a nice quiet trip up a secluded canal (canoes are not practical...note...doable...noot practicle)
A walk at any Disney resort in the evening....there are some GREAT places to take a rest break.

I't too bad Disney doesn't play up the romantic aspects of the world....even with all the ankle biters around....it's still a romantic place ;)

Awesome!! I'll definitely meet y'all at the flagpole. Any idea about what time that will be? I wish I could come along for the Prime Time gathering, but we'll already be heading home then. :(

Thanks for the info!

I think Narcossees is at the top of my list...especially if you do it around the time wishes is occurring. I will have to do that again one of these days.

I also enjoy eating at Poly followed by a walk along the beach.

**

Hi! I have never been Narcossees. What's that like! Now taking a stroll on the beach is very romantic, especially at nite. Ohana's is a great place to eat, but I'm not sure it's that romantic. Too many children at play. I do like quieter places.

I also have never been to Victoria and Alberts. I understand it's very expensive. Is it worth it?

TiggergirlinMI- Yes, that sounds very nice. It would be even better in their Penthouse Suite! lol!

Yep, I painted him. I oil paint when time permits and do mostly Disney stuff but not exclusively. All my neices and nephews have their favorite Disney character done in oil or acrylic or a mixed media. I am working on a Pooh for a friend of mines daughter at the moment and will do a 50th birthday castle painting next. I wish I had time to paint every day :(

I think I have original works of art hanging in more homes than some of these famous artists ;)

Hi Bill-

Do you sell your art-work? Do you have any pictures you can share?

thanks!

Wow...there are a lot of them. O'Hanas can be very romantic if you get a window seat with a view of the castle and then after dinner take a stroll on the beach or walk down the dock to see the fireworks or water pageant or slip into a hammock and just enjoy the evening. The only drawback at the 'all you can eat' places is the entertainment which is ususally child based and doesn't lend itself to a lot of romance.

Cindy's Royal Feast can be very romantic as well....especially during the fireworks :)

Oh...and I tried to post my photo on the new photo thread and it expired???? at photobucket?

Lets hear some other romantic preferences :)

Never did the hammock thing, but it really sounds like fun. Maybe take a plastic glass of champaigne too! lol! Never been the Cindy's Royal feast either.

I agree with your assessment about Ohana's also.

WOW. That really sounds nice. Have you written books about WDW?? I saw in your note above about "your book". What is OKW? lol!

OK I am posting back on here...

Reminder: I am a 32 year old single male from the state of New Jersey... Any females out there who would love to chat, send me PMs and we'll take it from there....

While I think that V&A's is a great dining experience, it's something that I've done once and don't feel the need to do again. You're going more for the actual dining experience, as in your servers, how the whole experience is handled, very quiet atmosphere, etc. I feel that the food is on par with CG and Jiko, the presentation is just a little fancier. Hope this helps!

You are making me swoon.

I've only been to WDW one time with my DS6 and exMIL. Yes, it does say ex. LOL! We get along better now than when I was married to her son! I really didn't get to check out any romantic places :sad1: but I hope to one day!

Hi brunette,

No, I have never sold any. I'd had lots of people request paintings but they don't realize what it takes to do one. I do them from the heart for friends and relatives.

I'm working with a Disney Legend to arrange the auction of the 50th birthday painting but I won't even consider it unless I'm happy with the outcome.

I'll have to take pics of the ones (Disney and non) that I still have and post them but Disney is freaky about people using their characters so I can't post them here :(

Hi brunette,

Yes I am a writer. According to the people who have read my books I'm the best unpublished writer out here LOL.

The book involving Disney World is titled "Terror in the Magic Kingdom". A few of the posters here have read it and gave very positive feedback.

I also have wrttten a children's book (also unbuplished) titled "Lost in Disney World" and a Disneyana collectors guide titled "Mouse Traps and how to Avoid Them".

Thanks for asking!

At the flag pole should be about 8:30. There should be quite a few folks there!

WOW! An artist AND an author! I am truly humbled. :worship:

Any single ladies planning a trip to WDW for May 2007 yet??? I am planning a trip for May 2007.... I am close to deciding where I am staying.. I am leaning toward Pop Century for 2 weeks.... End of May..... I am also trying to decide my dining options....

My last voyage home that wasn't in a DVC was at Pop Century. I wanted to stay there so I could continue to say I'd stayed at every venue on property except the DVC's. It's a bit away from everything but I still liked staying there. I loved the GIANT Mickey phone! I liked the walking path with the history markers along the way and you can see the old dorm buildings when you walk the property. Unlike the All Star resort where I think I has stayed in every building they had...this was a one timer.
