Any Single Disney Men Out There?

I was 48 when I got married, Judy was 46. This had been her second marriage, the first had ended in divorce over 20 years earlier (the ex had been an alcoholic and died of liver failure during his third marriage). However we had met in an organization we both belonged to and were occasional friends for about six years when we were not dating others. Then we started going steady for about a year until we made the decision to get married about a year later.

One thing Judy had told me later was that a lot of our friends, several of whom I had dated in the past, had told her she was fighting a lost cause and that I would never get married. I had never really planned to get married, but it happened. Judy had been the right person.

cin back me up here cause that was not me who told you i was gettin engaged never have i planned to ask anyone to marry me so that is incorrect info cin is not talkin about me and if she is that wrongs info never told her i am gettin engaged

Single Disney guy here...from NJ
It was my first time back to WDW 2 years ago..the last time before that was probably in the 80's. Ever since I was there in Nov. '04 and then again in Aug. '05, I got hooked...lol
Unfortunatly, I don't think I'm going this year, none of my friends want to go.

Well then NJGuy, you need to find some friends there who do want to go....My mouth dropped open when I read that, who WOULDN'T want to go to Disney World????? ;)

I know! Not wanting to go to Disney World? :confused3 Let the confusion begin.

Tiggergirl, I once dated a woman who very much wanted a LTR with me, but after one trip to WDW I realized it wouldn't have worked out. We were on the flight back after a short 3-day weekend to my DVC home, and she said that WDW was nice but that I shouldn't expect us to go there every year. :sad2:

I reminded her that WDW was my favorite vacation spot, that I owned a membership at DVC, and yes I would be going there every year.

We broke up two weeks later.

So here I am confirmed old bachelor until I meet that right DisGirl.

Dave I understand your problem! I find the same true...I have dated a few guys over the last year who were really nice..but when I told them I was an avid Disney FAN and go atleast once each year they just didn't get it...and if I waited for someone to go with me I'd never go soooooooo I'm going solo and loving it!!! BTW you are QUITE handsome...some lucky princess will be lucky if she "catches" you!! princess: ::MinnieMo :goofy: :maleficen :hmghost:

And I agree with djblue the princess :wizard: who catches you will truly be very lucky.

I too am waiting to meet my Mickey to my Minnie...someday!

DisneyDave,
She wouldn't be going there every year???? (insert smiley man falling down fainting here!!)
You broke up 2 weeks later, I would have done that sooner, lol...just kidding...
Yea I go a few times a year, 2 at least, 3-4 when I can.
I'm sure your princess will come along.....just keep believing and hoping and in the meantime you will meet lots of great Disney friends here and over at Mates too....
I know I've met some great friends online, none that had that special "spark" but it will happen when it's ready to!
Have a great Sunday! :goodvibes ;) :goodvibes

:cool1: Wow, talk about a great Sunday morning. My daughter is with me, I am enjoying my coffee :surfweb:, and getting nice posts from attractive women. Boy, do I feel lucky. :cool1:

Has anyone ever met people from this board? Isn't there a "Dis Meets" sometime in the future.

Dave- Sorry about your girlfriend. I too agree what's not to like about Disney World. I try to go about 4-5 times a year. I just purchased a villa 8 miles from Disney, back in November 2005.

Thanks Brunette...I am long over that woman. Someday I hope to buy a condo down there, or maybe even move down to Florida.

Where in Maryland are you located? I was born in Annapolis and moved to CT as a young boy. I still have family down there.

I'm in Ellicott City Maryland, which is somewhat near Columbia. Yes, I've been to Annapolis, it's very beautiful there.

What???? You didn't buy at DVC? Shocking!

I'm sure the place you got was great...but....living in the magic.....it's the best!

I'm sure the time shares are beautiful. But I'm really not sure how those things work. Do you only get 1 week a year??? :confused3

I love interior decorating so I bought the villa and furnisihed it nicely....plus I can go anytime I want. But you are right the draw back is that you are not on Disney Property.

Brunette :)

Ain't it a great day?

Just got back from visiting my mom out in the country (took both of my DDs) and taking my youngest to go see PotC 2 in a bit and then it's off to a buddy's to catch the game.

GO CARDS!!!

And this weather is awesome!

Well, DD, I have to agree with CoMickey...bachelor maybe but *definitely * not old...not judging from that hot pic of you with the ship's wheel anyway.

Some things in life are worth waiting for...my philosophical $.02 for the evening. :wizard:
