Thanks to dismates and this thread I have met some great friends. We girls have been having a blast....let me tell you men you are missing out on some great Disney Loving Women. I think just sitting back and waiting for someone to contact you may not be the answer. I understand about being shy and nervous, believe me. Sometimes you just have to step up and see what happens. At worst you may make a new friend, but you just might meet that special someone that you thought you would never find.
I would suggest checking out the chats (there is one tonight at 9 EST)...it is a great way to get to know people and break the ice.

I've spent some time in the chats. It's been a blast by the way. And I don't want to speculate but I'm pretty sure there have been some sparks between people. This thread and that site are exactly what I needed.

Hi everyone! Dr. Phil here...

Just kidding. IT would be great to see sparks flying between people who meet on this thread and in Dismates. The biggest challenge it seems is that with all the Disney guys and gals who are coming in, no one is ever really close to each other. That's one reason the calendar that sonotaprincess created is such a great tool. It lets you know who's going when and you can set up a face to face meet over a drink or day in the parks.

The other good option is to PM someone you feel you'd have a good connection with and see if they return the interest. The one thing to keep in mind is that you can date a hundred people and still not find Miss or Mr. right...then out of the blue...you share a monorail ride with someone late at night and blind the other passengers when the sparks start to fly.

Just my 3 cents (inflation adjusted)

You are correct, mickeysbestfriend, it would be great if some of us on here and dismates could meet our special someone. I enjoyed my brief time in chat last night. I'll try to get on tonight and see what's going on. That is...if the recovery from the sleepover is quick and painless.

You are absolutely right Dr Phil (aka MBF). If you do't take a chance, you never know. A pm is the most non threatening way to approach someone. Comment about something you read in a post, at worst you may just make a friend. But there's that chance you just may find what you were hoping to.

UGA....hope you made it through the night without any injured girls!!! As you know 12 year old girls know everything....maybe next time she'll know mom was right!!
