I was just wondering if anyone out there has made a trip using the silver plan. We have silver-plan ressies at POFQ in July and I'm just not sure how it all works. I have tried several times to download the brochure off the Disney website but I have not been able to do it. I think my computer is too slow or something. I'd like a sheet that has everything that it includes on it. I've called Disney and they tell me to go to the website (it's a vicious circle I tell ya.) Anyway, I'd love to hear from anyone who has taken such a trip. I would appreciate anything that you can share with me. Thanks in advance!

This is a good place to start! There is another thread that explains it but can't find it right now.

Just remember that the more expensive restaurants will make it worth your while. Also use for Cirque! Be prepared to spend a lot of time in the restaurants!

Have fun!

Try THIS LINK and let me know if it works for you. It's the brochure from the Silver Plan I think you were having trouble with, maybe with my link it will be easier for you to reach. It does take a few minutes to load so have patience. You have to have ADOBE ACROBAT on your computer for it to work.

PS
Let me also give you some words of advice on the plan. DH and I used it in 2001 and I WILL NOT be doing it again. :( I did not research the package a lot and lost money.
Here's my advice:

Do NOT use the wishes on breakfast meals or buffets. Each wish is costing you about $34 and you will pay that for two of you to eat not one of you at each of those meals.

If you do 2 wish restaurants...remember, you'll have to eat about $68 EACH in food to get your monies worth.

Do the Hoop Dee Doo and Cirque if you have time for both. Hoop is 1 wish Cirque is 2 and the wishes will pay for those in itself.

If you can remember do only things totalling $35 or more for each person in your party using the wishes then you get what you paid for and more. :teeth: Just do your research, read the brochure and come back here if you have any other questions.

I hope I've helped.

A message over on the resturant board says that the Rain Forest Cafe gives you a lot of bang for a 1 wish buck.

I am a little confused, Can all of us use the magical wishes at the same time? Like for instance, we have ressies for Hoop Dee Doo and the Spirit of Aloha dinner shows, I believe those are both only one magical wish each. Those in themselves would cost us around $200. I don't know if I mentioned it earlier but we will have 3 adults, My DS is 15 and my DD is 2 (will turn three on our trip.) We did not have to order tickets for my DD. We do have one character breakfast planned, my DH and DS are planing to golf that morning so they will use one of their wishes for those.
Also, that link did not work either. I just don't get it, I do have the latest version of adobe acrobat. I waited like 10 minutes and nothing happened. I still don't understand why Disney can't send me a hard copy. I would think they would have to have one around. Thanks for all the tips!

I apologize the link didn't work for you, I can't tell you what else to do.

However, yes, you can all use the wishes at the same time. You can break them up anyway that you'd like. Whenever you redeem a wish you just hand them your resort key and they will deduct it from there. On the bottom of the receipt it will show a total of how many wishes you have remaining. So no matter who is whereever using the wishes, you will always know how many you have at any given time.
I wish I had another link for you to look over the Silver Plan, but the last one I just found is like adobe acrobat also. :( Just visit the link someone left you to Mousesavers, it's got some good info. Click there to see if you can get a listing of the restaurants on the program. It shows you which ones are two wishes.
If you have any other questions let me know.

Your best bet then is to go directly to WDW site and in the search function type "Silver Plan".

It should take you directly to what Tiggerlover91 and I are trying to direct you to!

Strange, I guess Disney wants you to go to the site!LOL

 Hi Naisy68:)
In case you had not seen it I thought I would let you know there is a similar thread on the Disney Resort forum posted on 2/5/04 by lwilson105. It may help you in making your decision.
My sister and I used the Silver Plan last summer. It was mainly convienent not having to worry about paying for our meals, dinner shows and some other activities when we were there since they had already been paid for. I'm not sure if we saved any money, but we sure had a good time.:)
Good luck in your decision making and have fun while at WDW! ::yes::
My sister and I will be going back with other family members next August and I can hardly wait.

We used it this past February and thought it was worth it. It depends how you plan it and which meals. If you are going to use it for regular meals in the hotel cafeteria style, then its not worth it. But, to eat at the major expensive hotels, then it is well worth it. What I did with the kids was if they wanted a Peanut Butter Jelly or a salad, I would pay for it and use their wishes for something else. We were able to get some nifty gifts using some of the wishes to bring back home.

Research and check the prices of the meals at the restaurants throughout Disney, including Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island. These will include entrees, appetizers and desserts as well as coffee, soda or juice, but no alcohol.

Would do it again if I had to do a package in Disney, but now that we moved the Disney Dining card for Florida residents will do.
