I would really like to get into this, but don't even know where to begin!!

I was going to attend a class at our local "AC Moore" crafts store, but TWICE they have cancelled due to lack of interest.

I was probably the only person who signed up :lmao:

I am! I believe there's a scrapbooking/crafting forum here. You might want to check it out.

I find that those classes at ACM or Michaels almost always get cancelled. Do you have any specific ?'s I could help you with?

Thank you! I will check out the the thread, and if I have any questions, I will take you up on that ! Thanks :thumbsup2

At this point, I think I am more of a "collecter" of scrap book materials...I buy the materials and these days, I NEVER seem to use them!:rotfl2:

me too! me too! i own just about everything out there, and have NEVER scrapbooked a single page. sometimes i don't even take the crap out of the bag. i have bags from Michael's, Joann's, Hobby Lobby, etc sitting on my dining room table. oh yeah, from WDW as well! and the Disney Cruise too!

ahhhhh!!!! i even DVR the Scrapbooking shows on HGTV and PBS, and never watch them, i just let them pile up on my DVR till DH tizzes.

I am a scrapbook supply collector too. :rotfl2: I have the big Cricut, the big Sizzix, the big Xyron, everything. I have an entire room that was custom done to house my supplies.

I have not done a single scrapbook page in over 2 years now.

We are all over at the SBing board...:goodvibes

You guys are hilarious. It's the same for my sister & me. We mainly do rubber stamping and we could each open a store with all of the unused, unopened stuff we have. :lmao: Even my husband bought some albums to put our photos of Disney, Sanibel & other vacations in. So I bought him a nice scrapbook techniques book. Everything's been sitting in the closet unopened for 2-3 years now. Someday.

You can also check out You Tube. There's lots of tutorials. There used to be a scrapbook show on HGTV or DIY but I don't think she's on anymore & I don't remember her name to google her. Google Tim Holtz, he has some nice techniques that you may be able to incorporate.

Come join a scrapbook element making swap here on the DIS.

There are threads that describe the elements and show you how to make them. There are lots of examples to help you on your way.

Once you have some elements, it is a bit easier to start making pages.

We have Disney themed and Everyday life ones. :)

Ask around. I have found that lots of my friends were scrapbookers and getting together with them -we teach and share what we all know. In the beginning it was mostly them teaching me but now I even teach them some stuff. I would also try and sign up for some more classes if you can and of course there is the internet which is where you can find lots of ideas and sample pages.

My best advice: Buy a simple kit where it has the pages where you put in your pictures and embelish. Once you have completed one gorgues scrapbook you'll feel like you can do anything. I guess Im a simple scrapbooker. mine are never fancy and the only tequnique I seem to use alot is making elevlopes LOL.

Oh, where does one purchase one of these kits???:confused3:banana::hippie:

Michael's, JoAnn's, ACMoore, Independent Scrapbook stores.

Just ask a clerk to show you where they are in their store. :thumbsup2
