any rumors re: 2010 Packages?

I know it's usually in August but just wondering if anyone had heard any rumors re: 2010 packages.

I just booked a room only reservaton for Pop Century January 16-23, 2010 and the CM was explaining that they have to charge me rack rate for my deposit. I completely understood but said I was hoping for some kind of discount to come out either 4/3 or free dining. He said well I can't guarantee there will be something but just be watching because there will most likely be something coming out for January.

Mousesavers is reporting they are hearing strong rumors that the ticket prices are going to increase on August 2. I would guess the rate/packages for 2010 will come out at the same time. Historically, the rates and pacakges for the following year have always been released the first Sunday in August.

Does this usually include AP's? They are really getting up there as it is.

Usually when the new rates are released and they increase, so do the AP prices. I would buy now if you are planning to get an AP.

Unfortunately, we live in MI and will not be renewing until we arrive in Jan. as we have 1 Day tickets from last Jan. we got with 4/3 that we want to apply toward our AP's.

when i called yesterday, they said 2010 room rates would be out 15 Aug. hopefully they will announce packages at the same time! I would love if they did the military deal again!!!!

I was told by a CM that you can book a standard package now for 2010 - basically a room with no tix/meal plan - but as long as you call it the "standard package" they only charge you the $200 deposit. Then when the rates are released, they will adjust your ressie accordingly.

I am thinking of doing this this week for next year as I want a theme park view room at the Grand Floridian over 4th of July weekend. I'm thinking this is a tough one to get, so I'm going to call on Monday morning just to book the standard package then I'll tweak it to what I want when the rates are announced in August. I'm hoping for the 4/3 deal again....but I'm not sure if that covered 4th of July or not. If not, I'll hope for some sort of deal, but I want what I want so I'll pay for it regardless.

This is a "Room Only" reservation! You can make a RO ressie for any resort 500 days out from your trip! You will be charged the equivalent of one night at the highest rate for the current year! Standard PAckage? This must be new! very interesting!
