Any rooms left for XMAS week?

Anyone check recently for ANYTHING the week between XMAS and NY? Thinking of a lsat minute drive.

Yes, I have checked and it appears that most of the deluxe resorts with the exception of the GF have availability. However, I believe the value resorts are close to sold out if not sold out already. It may be the same for the mods.

I just checked this afternoon for a friend of mine, and it appears nothing in the values is available, moderates only had a 1- and 2-br suite for a cost of about $6,000 for the week. They are arriving 12/26 through 1/2, so other than that and some of the really expensive rooms at a couple of the deluxe properties, it seems everything else is already booked. This doesn't surprise me at all - it's only about 6 weeks until Christmas, so it's kind of late for booking. Best of luck to you if you decide to go - hope you can snag something.

Yesterday (11/7) I booked a room at Coranado Springs Resort after striking out with Disney, AAA, and a few other sites. Any site that buys rooms and resells them might give you a shot.

Also I seem to recall that rooms rented by Disney that are not paid 45 days (I think) beforehand are cancelled. If this is true you might have a shot because that 45 day window is just about here.

I always just put down a deposit that is required for one night. My confirmation says that is all I have to pay. THen when I get there, I pay the balance. I have never had to pay the whole thing up front or I lose my reservation. Maybe there are different types of reservations.

I have done that in the past, but I seem to remember some reservations had to be fully paid by a deadline, depending on your booking. Maybe I just have a faulty memory on this one.
