Any Rockport Maine people out there

I am starting to work on our 2007 trip to Maine. I got my Disney this year so my wife gets her Maine trip next year. We have decided to go to Rockport Maine at one of the campgrounds there. We have learned from our mini camping trips this summer that we need to wait till we get to Maine to buy our food. Are there are type of grocery stores in this area and what do you recommend? What is in this area do you recommend a must see? Thanks.

Hi, we have an RV and frequent rv.net in case you want camping help. We stayed north of ROckport last year and this year we will be in Kennebunkport.

I do not know but I think the lobster festival is sometime in early August. I could be wrong and it could be held in Rockland not Rockport so check it out. I heard you could get a triple lobster dinner for 20.00! They have a lot of "down home" type of activities too and I think they even crown a queen of the festival. I would go on line and google the city for info. I knw you asked about grocery stores but .....I just like the festival.

There are two Hannaford stores (big grocery stores) nearby. Camden is 1.14 miles and Rockland is 4.8. The lobster festival is in Rockland August 2-6. Check out mainelobsterfestival.com
